Anthony Fauci's defense is solid

Dr. Fauci pled the fifth before the Senate Committee and he stands on solid ground. If he thought he was in jeopardy, regardless of his pardon, he's solid.

The Biden pardon does not give the good doctor immunity from state charges, and it is reported that there three states investigating him for his actions during covid.

Also, this DOJ has applied perjury in a very subjective way. Any ambiguous answer could lead to charges. Even it they don't stick; the investigation and potential charges are hell.

On the merits of the Committee hearing, Rand Paul is a ****ing idiot or thinks we all are. During a novel virus, as the covid pandemic was, scientists and doctors will make recommendations and then may change their minds. WTF, that's what scientists do. Wearing masks made (and still makes) all the sense in the world during a pandemic. Why do you think they wear masks in operating room? It's to prevent the spread of germs to the patient. I, for one, think that Dr. Fauci may have saved my life by being in the forefront of developing the vaccine. My wife and I were among the first people to be vaccinated in Boston in 2020. I know some folks want to credit Trump, but we can agree he doesn't know shit. He was convinced his only chance of reelection in 2020 was a successful vaccine. If operation warp speed didn't pan out, you can bet your ass Trump would have blamed somebody else, and probably Dr. Fauci. I remember the successful roll out of the vaccine and Trump triumphally taking credit at one of his rallies and the crowd booed. He was shocked. And then it happened again and again. Finally, he stopped taking credit

It breaks my heart to see a good man like Dr. Fauci take shit from assholes like Moreno, Hawley and Paul

Fauci knew very early that the SARS-CoV-2 virus leaked from WIV. He lied about it to cover up his contributing funds to WIV through EcoHealth Alliance and to upstage Trump. Was that criminal? Probably not. Stonewalling legitimate Congressional inquiry may have been criminal, though.

Fauci's obstruction stunt may inadvertently bring into question the legal validity of Otto Penn's pardons that may have been executed without Biden's knowledge.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

Fauci's diarrhea says he knew advised then NY governor Cuomo to lock down the state even though he said elsewhere he never advised such COAs.

He lied under oath about funding EcoHealth.

He directed subordinates to nominate him for cash awards during duty hours.

It goes on.

Personally, I don't think the states can do much. Fauci the Louse can file a motion for removal for any acts connected to his federal service. That would take matters out of the hands of states and put them in a jurisdiction where his pardon holds sway.

Either the pardon has to do or he has to be ruined in civil courts.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I'm as tired of hearing this argument as I am of the "You can't yell 'fire' in a crowded theater".

The type of mask people wear protect against droplets, but not as well against aerosols. Also, a sick surgeon probably wouldn't operate on someone.

Yeah, Trump wasn't in a laboratory making the vaccine himself, but it was due to his actions that we got one so quickly. Even some of Trump's opponents credited his administration for Warp Speed, and we know they are loathe to do any such thing.

Really? Your side has led people to believe Trump supporters are a cult and never question anything he says or does. ::)

...  I remember the successful roll out of the vaccine and Trump triumphally(sic) taking credit at one of his rallies and the crowd booed. He was shocked. And then it happened again and again. Finally, he stopped taking credit ...

1. The 2020 election was in November. The authorizations of Covid vaccines were in December 2020. This "remember" has an anachronism problem.

2. Anti-Covid-vaxxerism did not gain traction among some conservatives - not all - until spring and summer 2021, yet another anachronism problem for this "remember".

3. What is with "the vaccine"? Two vaccines were authorized in December 2020, and a third was authorized in March 2021, whose clinical trials were completed two days after LIEden was inaugurated.

4. Love or hate Covid vaccines, the J & J, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines would not have been authorized a quickly as they were without ass-kicking and/or funding from Operation Warp Speed. Nor would the logistics for production and distribution have been in place to have millions of doses administered before LIEden was inaugurated, as was done.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.
