Quote
Sen. Lindsey Graham died of a ruptured aorta brought on by chronic heart disease, according to the preliminary findings of the DC medical examiner’s office released Sunday.

An initial investigation found that the 71-year-old senator from South Carolina died from “Aortic Dissection due to Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease,” according to the findings, which were released by the senator’s office.

The rare condition involves a tear in the body’s main artery; it mostly affects older men, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Senator Lindsey Olin Graham has passed away due to Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease.

:banghead: Has Candace Owens agreed that he was not assassinated by Israel? :banghead: I wish that were funny.

I did not look to see this thread, H/T Ptarmy, so here's what I just posted in the Shoutbox, with typo corrections and clarifications:

Graham, to me seemed lost i, the decades-old psst of Senators working together, giving a little here, taking a little there, getting most things done, sort of. The Dems started stopping that work together thingy when Reagan beat Carter - e,g, obstructing USSC nominees - and utterly @#$%-canned it when GWB was elected in 2000. Graham missed that two-decades reversal or pretended it could be reversed with his unilateral collegiality.

The Dems steamrolled him over and over, and he never quite got that they would not play long with what he hoped to do. Graham's main issue with Trump seemed to me that he thought Trump's style undermined what he hoped to do.

I did not really follow Rs' and conservatives' backing-and-forthing and frustrations with Graham very closely, so I could be far off base and would not mind being better informed.

I had forgotten this (h/t Power Line blog), but one thing Graham did well was out-play the Dems' Kavanaugh shambush.

I wonder how many, if any, Snoopy-dancing Dems/Progs have gotten past rejoicing over Graham's death to the realization that Trump may have significant influence in the pick of who takes Graham's place.
