I have been furious for several days after hearing about the false allegations against Pete Buttigieg . . .

. . . of inappropriate conduct with his children.

As I understand the details of the case, some guy anonymously called either CPS or police, and claimed that some woman he knows told him that she had met Pete Buttigieg as some event in Alabama, and that Buttigieg confessed to her that he had committed "unspeakable crimes" against his children, which led to CPS separating him from his family overnight, while they looked into the allegations.

Look, I get that agencies such as CPS want to err, if at all, on the side of protecting children. But at the same time, in the current climate, when people are so willing to weaponize anonymous allegations against public figures, these agencies should have to do substantially more vetting of allegations before subjecting any family to something like this.

I mean, think about it: some guy calls CPS or other law enforcement, claims that a friend of his told him that she had met a public figure, and that said public figure had confessed to "unspeakable crimes" against his children. So the guy is reporting not what he himself has heard or witnessed, but what some third party told him she heard the public figure heard. That wouldn't even be admissible in a criminal court case!

And then there's the [im]plausibility of it all. I mean, how plausible is it that a public figure who was actually guilty of abusing his kids would confess this to some random woman who claims she met him at some event? That alone should have been enough for CPS to determine that there was no basis for going forward!

Protect children? Sure, but recognize that subjecting their families to this kind of treatment without first adequately vetting the allegations carries its own set of harms to those same children and their families!

You idiots have said time and time again to believe all women and allegations no matter what. I am wrong?

Yes, the left and their use of SWATting come to mind.

So how do you know they are false?

If, as he claims, the report to CPS is false, sharing the guilt with the false-reporter is Walter Mondale, who wrote the Federal law requiring states’ CPS-type agencies to investigate anonymous child abuse reports as seriously as reports by reporters giving their names (e.g. a school teacher or admin). How Mondull did not foresee malicious false reporters entangling families with social workers who might have a mini-messianic complex … well he was moronic if he did not … or a Hitler/Stalin-grade statist.

he seems especially butthurt about "Mayor Pete":

This is outrageous!  Pete Buttigieg and his family were targeted by an anonymous caller to CPS, resulting in his not being permitted to be alone with his children overnight.  The caller said that a woman he knows told him that she had met Buttigieg at an event in Alabama, and that he told her he had committed "unspeakable crimes."
It isn't just the fact that some crazy idiot called in a false allegation -- although that is bad enough.  It's that the police and CPS responded to a hearsay allegation by a THIRD PARTY!  And even the third party didn't claim to have witnessed anything, but only claimed that Pete Buttigieg had admitted to her that he had engaged in "unspeakable acts."  That shouldn't be enough to get police to respond.  At a minimum, an allegation like that should only be responded to when the original person making it calls in the complaint.  And that person should have more knowledge about a situation than just what she claims an alleged perpetrator told her!

B is equating this false reporters to CPS with SWATting, https://pjmedia.com/scott-pinsker/2026/06/29/something-is-very-very-strange-about-the-medias-fixation-on-pete-buttigiegs-cps-swatting-story-n4954491 . Having a CPS social worker and an ordinary police officer knocking at your door and having a polite discussion is VASTLY different from having an armed police team loudly demanding entry into your home, with their weapons at ready.

If what B claims is accurate, the false reporters deserves to be prosecuted (filing a false police report?). But he was not SWATted.

As the article linked above points out, real SWATting has been done to conservative pols and officials pretty frequently in recent years, and the MSM have given the SWATting incidents cursory coverage (or less). But when a Dem gets false-reported to CPS and an unexpected visit from a social worker, it’s a national-level mini-crisis.

I'm certain this DUmmy was just ducky with swatting incidents involving Republican lawmakers, including but not limited to Nancy Mace in South Carolina.
