I looked on with disgust the anticipated

location of The Arc De Trump. Situated between Arlington Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial, its location is horrific. To gaze from the Lincoln Memorial to Arlington is a treasured and honored view. To have that vista blocked by a Croquet wicket of an Arch dedicated to a a child rapist is akin to having a splendid view of the Rocky Mountains, only to have your windshield splattered by a monumental amount of bird shit.

Knowing that DU-folk and truth are estranged strangers, I resorted to DDG to learn what about what kairos12 was whinging. Per W'pedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Triumphal_Arch , what Trump has proposed is an arch to honor the 250th birthday of the US.

I can understand many/most Progs hating celebrating that.

I knew it was BS when I saw a dummie saying "treasured and honored view" as it relates to pro-US monuments.

I guess you then hate the St. Louis Gateway arch? Or any other arches, including the Golden Arches of McDonald's.

It is a very beautiful architectural arch having seen the renderings, and it is very appropriate. This year is a huge year of remembrance with our country's 250th and 25 years since the 9/11 terror attack.

Ralphie humbly suggests that DUmmy kairos12 go play in traffic more often.

The proposed arch would be located on Columbia Island, between an entry to Arlington National Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial, across the Potomac River. What kairos12's whinge leaves out, whether from ignorance or deceit:

* The arch would be located on a traffic circle, currently a lawn, designated for memorial use;

* The Cemetery is large enough that the arch would be out of the direct sight-line from most areas of the Cemetery.

Trump made the proposal public in October 2025. It appears that it got on kairos12's whine-dar screen because site survey work started recently. Depending on efforts to obstruct, the arch might or might not be completed before the end of Trump's term.
