Do I understand this correctly?

JD Vance is threatening to withhold 1.3 billion in Medicaide payments to California because he believes, no proof offered, the state doesn't do enough to eliminate fraud, which he's offered no proof of. This is money Californians have paid in their taxes to receive a service that is essential to their staying the **** alive and healthy.

This is also the same administration that is giving 10 billion dollars of our tax money to Trump in one of the biggest examples of federal fraud ever witnessed. If Vance is the fraud czar, WTF isn't he watching that shit? Because he is in on it, obviously.

**** these people. That's our money.

Do I understand this correctly?

As usual, DUmp'Rat; no, no you don't understand correctly, partially, or so much as in the slightest.  :thatsright:

  • Vice President Vance is no longer THREATENING to withhold the funds to 800 fraudulent "home health" and "hospice" care organizations in Commiefornia. He has done so, PAST TENSE.
  • Of those 800 organizations identified as fraudulent and suspended from receiving payments from the Treasury trough, only 10% (about 80 organizations, for those of you DUmp'Rats from Rio Linda) have availed themselves of the EXISTING appeals process to attempt to reverse that determination, thereby identifying either the more legitimate organizations, or the more brazen of the fraudsters. Some of those 80 organizations may get their funding restored, but almost certainly not all of them, and definitely not a significant portion of $130 million that represents a 10% portion of the TAXPAYER MONEY that was prevented from being defrauded by those organizations.

Hope this helps, DUmp'Rat (though I'm not expecting miracles)...  :whatever:

Well stated.

Adding a bit more detail, Medicaid (correct spelling) is Federally funded, but state administered (in California, "Medical").

* California bureaucrats failed to notice that in SoCal, dozens of supposed hospice organizations applied for and were recognized at single street addresses. Even a hospice without its own facility requires several thousand square feet for its nurses, aides, and administrative people. The bureaucrats failed to notice - or knowingly ignored - grossly obvious evidence of fraud.

* Further, California bureaucrats failed to notice that 10s of millions of dollars were being billed from single street addresses, more grossly obvious evidence of fraud. Whether gross negligence or accommodation, fraud is fraud, and Vance cur off the $$ feeding the fraud.

On the side, there's an interesting contrast in this. The jobs given the VP by the USC are not extensive. LIEden gave Kammie a job that could have been a huge boost, "Border Czar", toward the Presidency. Kammie did more or less nothing. Trump gave Vance a similarly significant and highly visible job and ... Vance has Proggies howling, because he's doing that job.

As a rule, if DU has to ask “Do I understand this correctly?”, the answer is usually “no”.

You could fill several million learing centers with the things DUmmies do not understand correctly.

Trump Admin Defers $1.3 Billion In Medicaid Payments To California

https://dailycaller.com/2026/05/14/admin-1-3-billion-medicaid-payments-california/

Quote
The Trump administration announced Wednesday it is withholding $1.3 billion in Medicaid payments to California, alleging the state has not done enough to tackle fraud.

Vice President JD Vance claimed during an event at the White House that the “simple reason” for deferring Medicaid payments to the Golden State is “because the state of California has not taken fraud very seriously.” The news comes as the administration has recently been moving to crack down on healthcare ‌fraud nationwide.

“There are California taxpayers and American taxpayers who are being defrauded because California isn’t taking its program seriously, but also you have people who have been prescribed medications that they don’t even need,” Vance said. “They’ve had drugs put into their bodies that they don’t need because fraudsters have actually encouraged false prescriptions and false administration of medications.”
...
The Vice President also said the administration is informing all 50 U.S. states that it could halt funding to their Medicaid Fraud Control Units if they fail to “aggressively prosecute Medicaid fraud.”

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz stated in a statement posted to X on Wednesday that “when states like California refuse to work with the federal government on saving American taxpayer dollars,” the administration “will hold those states accountable.”

IIRC, the news report that kind of kicked this whole kerfuffle into overdrive was from CBS News.
