republicans are thrilled at the prospect of spending $1 billion toward this ballroom obscenity, but are against:

More funding for SNAP
More funding for Medicaid
Broader student loan forgiveness and more affordable repayment plans
Rent subsidies (Section 8 vouchers, etc.)

Don't confuse them with facts. Although apparently as part of one of the reconciliation bills being bandied about, there would be goober-mint funding of the ballroom. I'm assuming it a negotiating ploy, something Democrats aren't any good at. The original plan is privately funded.

If they got the illegals off of all these benefits, who don’t deserve them if they got all the lazy people that are able to work off these benefits who don’t deserve them if they get off the multigenerational leeches. There would be plenty of money. There’s actually too much money being spent on these things as it is.
