republicans are thrilled at the prospect of spending $1 billion toward this ballroom obscenity, but are against:

More funding for SNAP
More funding for Medicaid
Broader student loan forgiveness and more affordable repayment plans
Rent subsidies (Section 8 vouchers, etc.)

There has never been and never will be a more despicable bunch of bastards in Congress.

Don't confuse them with facts. Although apparently as part of one of the reconciliation bills being bandied about, there would be goober-mint funding of the ballroom. I'm assuming it a negotiating ploy, something Democrats aren't any good at. The original plan is privately funded.
