I get that the DU collective’s big thing is constantly being dumber than a box of rocks; however, even a stalk of broccoli has enough intelligence to know that the US Constitution gives you the right to “peacefully assemble” and NOT the right to freely attack and/or interfere with law enforcement officers.
When you do things that are outside the limits of the Constitution or laws or even rules, there tends to be consequences. When I got caught drinking at the house as a kid (and I was fairly smashed) I was told two things (1) if you’re going to be stupid then you’ve gotta be tough AND (2) if you play silly games, you tend to win silly prizes. I won silly prizes and wasn't nearly as tough as I thought I was.
Come to think of it, even as an inebriated kid, I was intelligent enough to not go a try to prevent law enforcement from doing their jobs.
