Jen Psaki shuts down 25th amendment talk about Trump, declares it's 'not going to happen'

https://www.foxnews.com/media/jen-psaki-shuts-25th-amendment-talk-trump-declares-going-happen

Quote
MS NOW host Jen Psaki tamped down talk about using the 25th Amendment against President Donald Trump on Thursday during an interview with Stephen A. Smith, questioning why Democrats were so focused on it when it was "never going to happen."

Smith asked Psaki during his show, "Straight Shooter," about the left being so "fervently against the other side" that it comes across as "vitriolic."

"I think there are times, I think a lot of people on — and I can't speak for everybody on the left, I don't agree with everything everybody says on the left either — you know, sometimes it's like not constructive," Psaki said. "I mean, you've talked about the 25th Amendment. I have no issue with people saying they're for invoking the 25th Amendment, but it's not going to happen. So, it's like why are we spending so much time, you know?"

Psaki has watched 5 years of anti-Trump lawfare fail, over and over and over and ... over. Trump-Haters would do well to heed her, but their Trump Hatred possesses and drives them.

Whoopi Goldberg Launches Deranged Attack On Melania Trump

https://www.themix.net/celebrity/celebrity-news/whoopi-goldberg-melania-epstein-comments/

Quote
Last week, we reported that Melania Trump had issued a statement in which she denied having ties to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Now, Whoopi Goldberg, whose own name popped up in the Epstein files, is firing back by attacking Melania over this statement.

Whoopi Attacks Melania
“The Iran War knocked the Epstein files out of the headlines for like a couple of minutes, until the First Lady brought them back with her surprise statement last week, where she denied that Epstein introduced her to You Know Who, and said that she has no knowledge of Epstein and [Ghislane] Maxwell’s crimes,” Whoopi said on The View this week.

Whoopi’s co-host Ana Navarro chimed in to say that Melania’s statement was “counterproductive” because, “If her objective was to close down any rumors about her, all she did was open up Pandora’s box.”
...
“If she wants to be an ally and champion to those Epstein survivors, she can start by inviting them to the White House and meeting with them and listening to their stories,” Ana continued. “She can start by turning to the guy next to her, Donald Trump, and telling him to tell his DOJ to release all the files.”

Their co-host Sunny Hostin was quick to agree. She called on Melania to testify before the House of Representatives’ Oversight Committee like Bill and Hillary Clinton did.

“She must know something, and for her to say she said that she and her attorneys are fighting back against unfound and baseless lies in regards to her connections to Epstein, then what are those lies? What are those accusations? Tell us more,” Sunny concluded.

Just pathetic. The harpies can't admit that the Epstein Files have been released, because the released files aren't the Trump-Shattering Kaboom they "knew" the files would be. Melania MUST know SOMETHING, because Trump. Melania MUST testify before the House, because Trump. Melania's denying false accusations, so Melania MUST detail every false accusation and why each accusation is false, because Trump.

Melania's married to a master of 5-dimensional chess, while The View's harpies would struggle with Candy Land.

BTW, Whoopsie lied about what Melania said, unsurprisingly. Here's what she said about her knowledge of him:

Quote
“I am not Epstein’s victim,” Melania emphasized. “Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump. I met my husband by chance at a New York City party in 1998. This initial encounter with my husband is documented in a detail in my book ‘Melania.’ The first time I crossed paths with Epstein was in the year 2000 at an event Donald and I attended together. At the time, I had never met Epstein and had no knowledge of his criminal undertakings.”

My emphasis. It's almost amazing how those three simple words expose Whoopsie's lie.

FBI Director Kash Patel threatens to sue The Atlantic over ‘categorically false’ report alleging excessive drinking

https://nypost.com/2026/04/18/us-news/fbi-director-kash-patel-threatens-to-sue-the-atlantic-over-categorically-false-report-alleging-excessive-drinking/

Quote
FBI Director Kash Patel threatened to file a lawsuit against The Atlantic Friday over a “categorically false and defamatory” report alleging “bouts of excessive drinking” have negatively impacted his leadership of the bureau.

The “hit piece,” as Patel’s lawyer described the story, claims the FBI director’s “conspicuous inebriation and unexplained absences” have “alarmed” Justice Department and bureau officials – and in one alleged instance resulted in his security detail requesting “breaching equipment” to get him out of a locked room.

“Print it, all false, I’ll see you in court — bring your checkbook,” Patel said in a statement included in the piece.

1. It's The Atlantic.

2. The winds of libel lawsuits brought by public figures are already shifting toward greater accountability, and IIRC, there's a relevant case before the USSC that could thoroughly reset the Public Figure standard.

Trump Lawyers in Talks With IRS Over $10 Billion Suit

https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/trump-irs-lawsuit/2026/04/17/id/1253326/

Quote
Lawyers for President Donald Trump are engaged in talks with the IRS to resolve a $10 billion lawsuit the president filed against his own tax collection agency over the leak of his tax information to news outlets between 2018 and 2020.

In a federal court filing Friday, Trump asks a judge to pause the case for 90 days while the two sides work to reach a settlement or resolution.

"This limited pause will neither prejudice the parties nor delay ultimate resolution," the filing says. "Rather, the extension will promote judicial economy and allow the Parties to explore avenues that could narrow or resolve the issues efficiently."/quote]

This is going to be weird. On one hand, that the IRS F'ed up is not even disputable. What gets weird, with Trump being POTUS, is the damages - economic and punitive. The judge will have to be vigilant wrt pressure from above on the IRS.
