I am thinking that anyone above 100 years of age that can make a sign that good is seriously above average in having the skills for making a sign that legible. Not many senior citizens above 80-90 years old are able to write or draw at all let alone make a sign that well.

Yeah, my Dad's signature got pretty shaky when he was in his 80s. Your comment isn't certain, but it's very likely correct.
