Publishing entire syllabi will tend to expose teachers of unrelated subjects who sneak their social agenda into their courses, either by publishing it or students reporting their false syllabi.
I can’t remember if I’ve told this story or not. I’m getting old and forgetful so I might have, but I’m going to tell it anyway because I’ve seen some “educators” claim that there is no way for them to teach without their ideology being revealed.
I knew that I was a right-winger early on in life. About 1979, I was sitting in a history classroom on the first day of school, and the teacher walked in. I’d never seen him before, but as soon as I did, I knew that it was going to be a difficult semester for me because everything about him screamed bleeding heart, lefty hippie. I figured that I’d spend the entire semester in trouble for contesting his screwed up ideology. When the semester ended, much to my surprise, I had not had any issues with the teacher, and my final grade for the class was 100. I assumed that I had misjudged the guy. Fastforward to around 2005 or so, I happened upon the guy’s Facebook page. It was so full of leftwing BS that he’d be welcomed with open arms at DU. So way back during my school days, I was correct about his ideology, but he was apparently someone who took his job seriously and actually taught instead of trying to indoctrinate. Wouldn’t it be nice if all “educators” actually took their jobs seriously?
