If Swede really cared about understanding BB's lyrics, translations are easily found with a search engine ... and Swede would quickly understand why those "songs" could not have been done in English on US broadcast TV.

As for the the "songs" being Spanish-only, the pop-rock music of my youth included Spanish-lyric songs, so that is not a big deal to me. It was the NFL flipping off normal Americans - including Spanish-speaking Americans - and narrow-casting to a small segment of their potential audience that had me not watching the halftime show. With nearly 10 million people changing channels or turning off their TV instead of watching BB, I know I'm not alone in that.

Why can't the nfl pick half time entertainment that appeals to the larger majority of their fan base?

For quite a few years the NFL has been narrow-casting to what they imagine their audience will be in the near future. I can't remember the last time the Super Bowl halftime performer was someone who interested me.
