Sorry to Break up Your Narrative About Renee Good, Lefties, but I've Got Some News

Since the unfortunate, yet predictable, death of Renee Good on January 7 for committing assault with a deadly weapon by ramming her 4,000-pound SUV into an armed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent, a persistent lie has been told about her backstory. It’s likely that the left and their media allies believe eliding this part of her past somehow burnishes Good’s leftist credentials — as if ramming her car into a federal officer weren’t radical enough to convince them.

If you look closely, however, the story is changing. The narrative about Good’s later-in-life lesbian “marriage” is quickly evaporating, given an old Irish goodbye by the news media. That doesn’t mean the media have corrected the record, but they have begun to quietly make the inaccurate portrayal of her marital status disappear.

Thanks to independent journalist Julie Kelly, we learn that not only was Good not married to her lesbian partner, but that she legally changed her name to match her paramour’s last name — not through marriage, but via an old-fashioned World B. Free, Metta World Peace, Chad Ochocinco, Snoop Dogg–style name change. ...

Whatever the proper term is for the surviving partner of a live-together couple, "Widow(er)" is not it, IMO. It gives unmerited dignity to the relationship. Since Rebecca Good's relationship with Renee was not legally formalized, that leaves the 6YO boy an orphan - no living parents. Maybe Rebecca is a better person than I expect she is, but I would be entirely unsurprised if she tries to block the child's grandparents from getting custody.

Not that I disagree with your assessment mind you, but what LEGAL justification do you think unrelated lesbo #2 _{('Becca', for the DUmp'Rat lurkers from Rio Linda  )} would attempt to use in court to do this to the poor, damned kid caught in the middle of this mess?

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) went nuclear in an interview with Leland Vittert on NewsNation Tuesday, dropping a megadose of unfiltered truth about the death of Renee Good and the media’s desperate efforts to twist the story for political gain. Donalds started by making it crystal clear that conservatives aren’t celebrating anyone’s death.

“There’s not a Republican in the country that wanted to see Renee Good lose her life,” he said, “but let’s also be clear.” That’s when he dropped the hammer. “She decided to put her foot on the accelerator when there was a law enforcement official right in front of her car.”

Host Leland Vittert tried to steer the conversation toward legal technicalities, but Donalds wasn’t having it. “No, no, but this is beyond the law… This is common sense,” he insisted, as Vittert tried to backpedal.


Even when Vittert pivoted to suggest that “the president’s tone is very different,” Donalds refused to let the conversation slip into optics. He redirected it toward morality and basic human instinct. “Leland, again, nobody wants to see Renee Good or any other American lose their life,” he said. “Forget, put law enforcement aside. If somebody drove their car at another human being, does that human being have the right to defend themselves?”

“I’m not arguing with that,” Vittert admitted.

“The answer is unequivocally yes,” Donalds pointed out.

Vittert tried to frame it in terms of tone again. Donalds saw right through that. “And that’s the problem with the media,” he said. “Because the media doesn’t wanna report about the reality of what happened on the ground. They wanna sensationalize for the purpose of diminishing President Trump when he is winning for the American people.” You could practically hear the studio air tighten at that moment.

My expectation, that I hope is 100% wrong, is that with an activist-group-paid high-powered attorney Rebecca would try to wangle her year (or however long) with Renee into something of a parent-like relationship.

Senators travel other than to their home states or DC? How shocking. Laguna Beach, CA may be less cold than TX and DC, but 52F-57F, cloudy, and a 25% chance of rain isn't balmy.

But let's pretend Sen. Cruz stayed in DC or TX ... his home and office aren't heated? This mountainizing a mole hill fails for the lack of a mole hill.
