I'm seeing a lot of nonsensical articles saying shit like, "ICE is responsible for immigration enforcement. They aren't allowed to arrest you for deportation."

Well, no shit, but that's not the only reason they can arrest you.

I've been seeing the same thing.

Oh, I don't know how accurate this is because I haven't researched it and the MSM likely won't talk about it because it doesn't fit the demonrat narrative, but I've seen two different claims that the illegal that the deceased assailant was trying to protect is a sex offender.

I read another thing a little earlier about another white Karen who was honking at ICE. She finally complied and left and is, therefore, still alive.

I realize that since ICE are already being demonized that they are trying to not make matters worse AND are probably wanting to avoid the hassle and paperwork, but I'm getting to the point that I don't think they should give them so many chances to follow orders before arresting them.

The Image above proves the ICE Officer was justified in his decision to use deadly force. He had no obligation to step out of the way that would benefit her or subject him to prosecution. He had no obligation to allow her to drive away from an attempt to detain her after the Officer at the door of her car ordered her to stop and exit the vehicle.

ICE has two sets of law enforcement personnel — Special Agents who are criminal investigators, and deportation officers who process civil deportation cases. Special Agents are covered by GS-1811 series position with a general description of “criminal investigator.” They are armed and possess police powers to investigate and make arrests for any crime committed in their presence, as well as for the enforcement of all crimes under Title 8 of the United States Code — “Aliens and Nationality.” Within their authority are crimes under Title 18 such as “conspiracy” and “obstruction” that intefere with their enforcement of the provisions of Title 8.

But the claim floating around social media that ICE officers have no jurisdiction over U.S. citizens is simply wrong. They are law enforcement officers with the authority to detain citizens briefly as part of their investigatory powers, and to arrest citizens who conspire to obstruct and/or do actually obstruct their lawful operations.

Title 18 U.S.C. Sec. 111 is a federal criminal statute involving interference with federal law enforcement:

Stephen Miller, a top White House official, said Tuesday evening that federal law enforcement now has the resources to protect its officers and begin the work of “identifying, disrupting and dismantling the insurgent networks” hampering Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Minnesota.

Miller’s message came after President Trump released a statement on Truth Social earlier Tuesday, saying: “FEAR NOT, GREAT PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA, THE DAY OF RECKONING & RETRIBUTION IS COMING!”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched a large-scale deployment of federal agents to Minneapolis and St. Paul in early January 2026, deploying approximately 2,000 federal agents from ICE, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) under an operation dubbed “Operation Metro Surge.”

President Trump ordered an additional 1,000 CBP agents to deploy to the Twin cities, potentially bringing the total to approximately 3,000 federal personnel there to conduct immigration enforcement operations amidst the violent left-wing insurgency.

Protesters staged a “sit-in” at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) International Airport on Friday over deportation flights as immigration agents snatch violent migrant criminals from Minnesota.

The left-wing 50501 Movement’s Minnesota chapter posted a call-to-action for the protesters on social media Friday morning, saying a plane was scheduled to arrive with “shackled deportees” at the facility at 12:40. Authorities gave a permit establishing an approved location and number of protesters, but airport police made about 100 arrests after they violated “the agreed-upon terms,” an MSP spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation. The DCNF observed several police officers standing guard in riot gear during the gathering.

The crowd surrounded a gated outdoor area of the airport, held signs denouncing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), linked arms and sang about how they would “all go down to jail” if necessary, according to footage from the leftist outlet BreakThrough News. The demonstration also involved “civil disobedience” by blocking traffic at the airport, leftist magazine In These Times reported, showing a picture of protesters flooding the road outside the gate.

Indeed, there's a sinister, evil smile on Attorney General Kris Mayes's face when she talks about shooting ICE agents under Arizona's state Stand Your Ground gun law, which she hates of course. She wove together the left's favorite targets: ICE and gun rights during an interview with 12News, in which she asked archly, "If somebody comes at me wearing a mask and I can't tell whether they are a police officer, what am I supposed to do?"

2. AZ law specifically excludes resisting law enforcement from the SYG law. Either the Dem AG is monumentally ignorant or was trying to incite violence against ICE. Not that the two choices are mutually exclusive.
