In September, Charlie Kirk was murdered.

What followed disturbed me almost as much as the crime itself. Not everywhere, not from everyone, but widely enough to be unmistakable, the reaction on the left was celebratory. Celebrities joked. Writers sneered. Ordinary people rushed to explain why he had it coming. He was labeled a hatemonger, a danger, a man whose absence improved the world.

What struck me most was not simply the cruelty, but its direction. The pain was not accidental. It was aimed. His widow, his children, his friends, and the many fans and admirers who loved him were meant to feel it. The message was clear enough: this is what happens when you love the wrong person. Suffering was not collateral damage. It was part of the point.

Last night, Rob Reiner and his wife were reportedly murdered.

Reiner made some genuinely great films. He also spent years speaking about conservatives with open contempt. He could be dismissive, cruel, and dehumanizing in his rhetoric. None of that is in dispute. But what unsettled me was how familiar the reaction felt. Almost immediately, I am seeing people on the right respond in much the same way I had seen people on the left respond to Kirk’s death: with jokes, with glee, with the thin satisfaction that an enemy had finally been removed.

This is not grief, justice, or accountability. It is dehumanization.

The justifications are always ready at hand. He deserved it. She was evil. The world is better off. These phrases are meant to make cruelty feel principled. But dehumanization is not ideological; it is behavioral. It spreads easily, and it looks the same no matter which flag it wraps itself in.

The father of an Israeli woman abducted on October 7 has revealed his daughter was murdered in Gaza by a civilian doctor - and that he was later sent a video showing the moment she was killed.

In the footage, Avi Marciano said a medical worker is seen injecting air into his 19-year-old daughter's veins as she lies on a bed inside Shifa Hospital, begging for her life.

Marciano, who was speaking publicly to a small crowd for the first time, said that by the end of the clip 'she was sweating and showing no signs of life'.

This demonstrates why Joooooooo-hating doctors and nurses must be removed from positions where they could kill or injure someone they perceive to be Jewish. Ditto teacher and educrats who might injure or harass students they believe are Jewish.

DC Police Chief Falsified Data to Fudge Crime Stats, Says Oversight Committee

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has accused Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Chief Pamela Smith of manipulating department data to maintain the appearance of low crime rates. The allegations surfaced in an interim staff report released on Sunday by the committee, which included testimony from commanders across all seven D.C. patrol districts and a former commander on suspended leave.

According to the report, Smith punished officers who reported accurate crime numbers and fostered a toxic work environment. Commanders allege that Smith pressured them to downgrade crimes to less serious offenses to keep them out of public crime databases. One commander recounted being instructed to reclassify a shooting as “endangerment with a firearm,” which made the incident invisible to the public.

Smith’s resignation, announced last week and effective at the end of December, follows two years as D.C.’s police chief. While Smith cited personal reasons for her departure, the House committee’s report suggests her resignation is tied to its investigation. “The Committee is releasing this interim report in light of Chief Smith’s resignation to add context to this decision, to protect witnesses from retaliation, and to inform both District residents and the American public at large,” the report stated. Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) went further, stating: “Her planned resignation at the end of the month should not be seen as a voluntary choice, but as an inevitable consequence that should have occurred much earlier. Chief Smith should resign today.”

Sadly, I do not think there is a law that makes the fraud she committed a crime.

FIRST ON FOX — Federal authorities say they disrupted a credible terrorist threat over the weekend, arresting four alleged members of a radical pro-Palestinian extremist group accused of planning coordinated New Year’s Eve bombings in Los Angeles.

The FBI told Fox News Digital that the members self-identified as part of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology.

According to the FBI, they were allegedly planning coordinated bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve using improvised explosive devices, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles.

The agency said the four were arrested in Lucerne Valley, where they were believed to be preparing to test explosive devices ahead of the planned attacks. They have each been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.

Looking through the article, I noticed something was notably missing. Apparently this was done without cooperation or participation of LAPD or LASD. IMO, that absence should be explained.

It's funny that ICE can find in a matter of hours or days criminals MPD didn't find in months or years ... it's almost as if MPD wasn't looking.

‘Rage bait’, ‘6-7’ and ‘AI slop’: This year’s words of the year show the misery of being online

The Oxford Dictionary’s word of the year is “rage bait”. The Macquarie Dictionary’s is “AI slop”. Cambridge Dictionary’s is “parasocial”. Dictionary.com’s is “6-7”.

There’s something wrong, isn’t there? So wrong that it is leaving a slug-like trace over even the words we use. The web is broken. And it’s all we can talk about.

These are the words we have to do so. We have only a growing dictionary of words to describe our misery. They run from outright unpleasantness in the form of “rage bait”, or content made specifically to upset people; through parasocial (our imagined connection with celebrities and other people who live in our phones) and AI slop (the illusory and low-quality content turned out by generative artificial intelligence); all the way to complete meaningless, such as “6-7”.

While the writer has a point, IMHO, the main reason these slang words get picked as "word of the year" is because the dictionary sites are desperate for relevancy and traffic.

Jack White calls Trump 'vile, loser, child' in wake of Reiner comments

Jack White called President Trump a "disgusting, vile, egomaniac, loser, child" on Monday in the wake of Trump's comments on the murder of beloved Hollywood actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner.

"To use someone's tragic death to promote your own vanity and fascist authoritarian agenda is a corrupt and narcissistic sin," White wrote on Instagram on Monday. "Shame on you trump and anyone who defends this."

I'll save you the search, he was part of the White Stripes, a band whose name I recognize, and probably know one or two popular songs from, but couldn't name or connect said songs to the band if my life depended on it.

I'll say Trump should have thought twice before posting, maybe done a little revision/editing first, however, libs, don't dish it out if you can't take it.  The vileness spewed about Charlie Kirk and El Rushbo after their deaths, the disgusting hate vomited out about Trump and conservatives everyday, the left have no room to talk on such subjects.

On April 5, 2020, that Trump is mentally ill.

On May 31, 2020, that Trump can't address the nation about racism or >100K dead of Covid.

On July 5, 2020, that Trump is a symbol of hate.

On June 28, 2020, that people who support Trump are racists because Trump is a racist.

On January 30, 2021, that Trump incited an Insurrection to overthrow the US government.

Moving past a bunch of less crazy railings ...

On July 13, 2020, that Trump is murdering Americans (Covid)

On July 11, 2020, that Trump is a White Supremacist, and that people who support Trump are White Supremacists

On November 17, 2018, that Trump is a F'ing (Reiner spelled it out) moron for calling for raking forest floors (Reiner is too ignorant to know that Trump referred to a very real underbrush management tool).

On August 14, 2020, that Trump is a F'ing criminal.

On July 2, 2020, that Trump is a stone cold racist who is running as a proud White Supremacist.

On June 27, 2020, that Trump committed Treason.

I ran out of patience half way through Reiner's hateful sludge. What Trump posted was entirely inappropriate, but the scores or hundreds of very public hateful Reiner comments calling Trump a murderer, Treasonous, and having attempted to overthrow the US government are the context.

I work to avoid hating people, but being honest with myself, I do not know that I could avoid hating someone who had spent 10 years slandering me the way Reiner slandered Trump.
