This has been running under most news radars, but it's literally a catastrophe for the mullahs.

After decades of mismanagement, illicit drilling, and indulging the citizens of the capital at the expense of the poorer rural areas, Iran is rapidly depleting what few water resources it has left.

Exacerbated by six continuous years of drought, the situation is so dire that the Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, has said the capital city of Tehran might have to be 'evacuated' before winter.

Even if such an extreme move does not prove to be immediately necessary, Pezeshkian has said, Tehran cannot continue in its current place and form. The area will not sustain any further human occupation or development.

The Mullahcracy should be trying to learn why Allah is displeased, since they believe Allah micro-manages the world.

A College Student Speaks

The Texas A&M University student newspaper published an op-ed by an anonymous teacher that is described by the College Fix: “The professor’s 1,000-plus word op-ed defends woke faculty and DEI-related issues, and urges students to organize against conservative political interference allegedly undermining academic freedom.” That op-ed drew a response by a student named Justino Russell. The student paper wouldn’t print Russell’s response, but here it is. This kid has a future:

Dear Anonymous Professor:

You are profoundly detached from the real issues affecting us, our families, our country, and the world today.

We are the most depressed, anxious, suicidal, obese, addicted, and indebted generation in American history, and the first to be worse off than our parents. We are forced to take pointless courses, buy outrageously expensive textbooks for information freely available online, and serve as a captive audience in a system where everyone—from publishers, administrators, and banks to professors like you—profits while we drown in debt.

The numbers don’t lie: almost 40% of students drop out, burdened by loans but no degree. Half of those who graduate end up in jobs that never required a degree in the first place. A bachelor’s degree has become a $100,000 high school diploma.

What caused this collapse, you ask?

Sorry for the reddit link, interestingly enough, the only article about this I'm finding this comment is a paywalled Boston Globe article.  My first thought at the "headline" was, if only you were or knew someone in a government position who could or who was in contact with people who could make such things happen.   

The whole clip is a hoot of "rich people need to follow the same rules as the rest of us" meaning people richer than her reported 7-12 million net worth I'm sure.

Former NJ Democrat Mayor Arrested for Alleged Drugging and Sexual Assault of a Minor

Andrew LaBruno, the former Democratic mayor of Dumont and a current Jersey City police sergeant, was arrested Monday and charged in connection with the sexual assault of a juvenile he met on social media, according to officials and reporting from NorthJersey.com.

LaBruno, 44, allegedly initiated an online conversation with the minor before arranging to meet in person.

According to an affidavit of probable cause cited by NorthJersey.com, LaBruno arrived at the juvenile’s residence in Englewood while the minor was home alone.

Prosecutors said LaBruno sprayed an “unknown substance” into his hand and held it over the juvenile’s mouth and nose, which caused the victim to become dizzy.

The Prosecutor’s Office stated that LaBruno “sexually assaulted and endangered the juvenile” during the encounter.

Cracker Barrel has lost one of its board members responsible for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

After a marketing disaster involving a change to its iconic logo and unique in-store designs, the company quickly apologized and reverted back to its original look. It has since looked to regain consumer trust and is finally making moves in its boardroom.

Now, an independent director and board member who shouldered at least some of the blame for the rebrand is stepping down.

Cracker Barrel announced Gilbert Dávila's resignation on Thursday morning, following a shareholder vote on the company's board of directors. Shareholders elected nine of the company's 10 recommended director nominees, including CEO Julie Masino, who has taken the brunt of the public bashing for the marketing failure.

Having been laid off 3 times because of upper manglement's mismanglement, it's nice to see mismanglers receiving a little of something like consequences, though I'm sure they will find manglement positions elsewhere.
