Democrats just proved they never cared about Jeffrey Epstein transparency. They only care about attacking Donald Trump.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) tried to cut through the political theater Wednesday by bringing a unanimous consent request to the House floor. His goal was simple: release all remaining Epstein files immediately.

Democrats blocked it.

In a video message after leaving the chamber Wednesday afternoon, Burchett explained how his goal was “to get the Epstein files, get it straight to the floor, just to cut out all this nonsense,” but the Democrats weren't having it.

"They blocked it, oddly enough,” he said. “Now here, they’ve had it for four years, and… obviously, if there’s something there about Trump, they would have released it.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced on Wednesday that more than 150 illegal alien sexual predators were arrested in Florida as part of a sweeping enforcement action known as “Operation Dirtbag,” as reported by The New York Post.

The arrests were part of a larger effort that resulted in more than 230 illegal aliens being taken into custody across the state for a range of criminal offenses, including drug trafficking, sexual assault, and even murder, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

US Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has revealed that her department has found that dead people have been receiving benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), as well as people receiving the benefits twice.

Speaking with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Rollins said that of the 29 states that complied and shared their SNAP data with the administration, her department has found that a "staggering" 5,000 dead people have been receiving the benefits, and 500,000 people were "getting benefits two times under the same name."

Additionally, she said that 80 percent of those on SNAP in those states were able-bodied Americans, "meaning they can work. They don’t have small children at home, they’re not taking care of an elderly parent. They can work, and they choose not to work, of course, because they’re getting significant benefits from the taxpayer."

The American Freedom Law Center is asking the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit to grant oral arguments in its First Amendment lawsuit against Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel for the “irreparable harm” of her endorsing the Southern Poverty Law Center’s claim that AFLC is a “hate group.”

“From the very beginning, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has politicized and weaponized her office and abused her government authority to target political opponents,” AFLC co-founder Robert Muise told The Daily Signal in a statement Wednesday.

“Her use of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s ‘hate group’ list as a matter of public policy to identify organizations, mostly conservative Christian and Jewish organizations, for her propaganda attacks and threats of surveillance are detrimental to the rights and freedoms of individuals in our free society,” Muise added. “Indeed, this is right out of the pages of George Orwell’s famous novel, 1984, and it is unconstitutional.”

It is long past time that use of the SPLC's "hate group" list by any gooberment official had consequences.

An iconic mall in San Francisco foreclosed for a fraction of the billion-dollar valuation it once commanded as Covid shutdowns and out-of-control crime left the seven-story behemoth a shell of its former self.

Valued at $1.2 billion nearly a decade ago, the San Francisco Centre Mall, previously known as the Westfield Emporium, was sold at an auction on Wednesday to lenders Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the mall served as a shopping hub in San Francisco, with residents and tourists flocking to its vibrant energy and big-name brands.

As consumers turned away from the city's sketchy downtown and toward online shopping, however, the mall's value declined drastically. An appraisal at the end of 2022 valued the property at only $290 million, a 76 percent drop from its height before the pandemic.

But lenders purchased the property for even less than appraisals, with the final sticker price for the sprawling 1.5 million square-foot mall only $133 million - or just 11 percent of its top valuation.

The mall had been "leaking" stores for years, even pre-Covid. It's a retail ghosttown with less than 10% of its space under current lease and zero "anchor" stores. Between the risks of crime on surrounding streets, car smash-and-grab robberies, and the potential of odoriferous Sacred Homeless and crime inside the mall, their were more attractive alternatives a 10 or 20 minute drive south on I280 or US 101.

Trump official refers Rep. Eric Swalwell for a federal criminal probe over alleged mortgage fraud

WASHINGTON — A top housing official in President Donald Trump's administration has referred California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell to the Justice Department for a potential federal criminal probe, based on allegations of mortgage and tax fraud related to a Washington, D.C., home, according to a person familiar with the referral.

He is the fourth Democratic official to face mortgage fraud allegations in recent months.

Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, alleged in a letter sent to Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday that Swalwell may have made false or misleading statements in loan documents.

The matter has also been referred to the agency's acting inspector general, this person said.
