THE BBC’s refusal to face up to its anti-Israel bias is not new. The 2004 Balen Report – a 20,000-word document which examined hundreds of hours of the BBC’s coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict – has never been released.

Now we hear that the BBC Chairman and Director General have been sitting on another dossier – this time an internal one – since May and that details persistent anti-Israeli bias.

There is no evidence in that period they have done anything to check it. In fact in this period they have allowed further lies distortions and anti-Semitism to be peddled in their Global Story series. And just like its flagship BBC Verify, the Global Story has already sunk into familiar territory – distortion, misinformation and anti-Semitic conspiracy – compounded by the BBC’s habit of openly allowing political activists to shape its coverage.

The episode that took my eye was titled ‘Why Netanyahu gets what he wants from the US’.

As the title implies, the programme set out to suggest that successive US Presidents are little more than puppets of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The claim that Israel secretly controls America is a classic anti-Semitic trope rooted in centuries-old conspiracy theories about Jewish power and manipulation. It recycles the same false narrative once used in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, that Jews operate behind the scenes to dominate governments, media, and finance. In the modern form, it disguises traditional anti-Semitism in political language but serves the same purpose: to demonise Jews as a hidden, malevolent force.

Euphoria co-stars Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney may not be seen together in public anymore, as Zendaya refuses to even stand next to Sweeney because of a “bitter feud,” per a report from the Daily Mail.

“Their rift is said to be caused by their starkly different political views,” reads the report. Then comes this: “Sweeney, 28, has been vocal about her support for President Trump and is a proud Republican voter.”

That second part just isn’t true. Sweeney has not said a word about her political beliefs one way or another. She’s reportedly a registered Republican in the Free State of Florida. She’s never confirmed or denied this. Further, she has not distanced herself from Trump after he praised her American Eagle ad campaign. That’s all we have to go on, and that’s a far cry from being “vocal about her support” for Trump or being a “proud” Republican voter.

Nevertheless, in fascist Hollywood, a mere rumor about being a Republican and remaining silent rather than hammering Trump as a NaziFascistDictatorKing is enough to be seen as a vocal Trump supporter. So…

Besides not hating on Trump, Sweeney is white, blonde, beautiful, a model, and owns and is skillful with at least one gun, and has not abjectly apologized for those sins.

US Mint in Philadelphia to press final penny as the 1-cent coin gets canceled

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Back in 1793, a penny could get you a biscuit, a candle or a piece of candy. These days, many sit in drawers or glass jars and are basically cast aside or collected as lucky keepsakes.

But their luck is about to run out.

The U.S. Mint in Philadelphia is set to strike its last circulating penny on Wednesday as the president has canceled the 1-cent coin as the cost of making them became more than their value.

President Donald Trump has ordered its demise as costs climb to nearly 4 cents per penny and the 1-cent valuation becomes somewhat obsolete.

Had seen that this was being floated again, but it got lost in the shuffle of everything else going on.  There's a lot of arguments for and against the penny, guess now we will see how it all shakes out.

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A rural Kansas county has agreed to pay a little more than $3 million and apologize over a law enforcement raid on a small-town weekly newspaper in August 2023 that sparked an outcry over press freedom, the paper’s editor said Tuesday.

Marion County was among multiple defendants in five federal lawsuits filed by the company that publishes the Marion County Record, its publisher, the estate of his late mother Joan Meyer, the paper’s co-owner, employees of the paper and a former Marion City Council member whose home also was raided.

Eric Meyer, the paper’s editor and publisher, told The Associated Press he is hoping the size of the payment is large enough to discourage similar actions against news organizations in the future.

A search warrant tied the raid — which was led by Marion’s police chief — to a dispute between the newspaper and a local restaurant owner who had accused the Marion County Record of invading her privacy and illegally accessing information about her and her driving record. Meyer has said believed the newspaper’s aggressive coverage of local politics and issues played a role and that his newsroom had been examining the police chief’s past work history.

Back in February of 2021, the Montgomery County Public Schools system (MCPS) proudly announced, like many school systems in the golden, halcyon days of the Biden climate cult era, that they were completely electrifying their school bus fleet. This was going to be the nation's largest 'procurement' of electric school buses by any district, which was trumpeted as delivering 'health and climate benefits' for the community.

Well, on Monday, an eleven-page report from the Maryland State Board of Education declared that the bus deal the MCPS school board had signed was illegal. The state board found numerous violations of the county's own bidding procedures, not to mention the unsavory association of two MCPS school officials with the deal who had been subsequently prosecuted and convicted of fraud.

A new report from the Maryland State Board of Education has declared Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) $168 million electric school bus contract “illegal,” saying the district violated its own procurement rules when awarding the deal.

The report found that the contract between MCPS and Highland Electric Fleets was “arbitrary, unreasonable, and in violation” of the district’s own bidding procedures. The district terminated the agreement over the summer, even though Highland had delivered just 285 of the 326 electric buses it was contracted to provide.

Additional questions about the deal surfaced last year, when a public report cast doubt on the district’s claim that transitioning from diesel to electric buses would result in “zero net change” in transportation costs. Soon after, the Montgomery County Inspector General raised further concerns, citing delivery delays and the district’s failure to recover $372,000 from Highland for buses that were not operational.

NORFOLK, Virginia — The two houses at the center of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ legal trouble have been magnets for police activity since she bought them — with cops dispatched two dozen times since her ne’er-do-well kin moved in, The Post has learned.

James’ serial crook grandniece, Nakia Thompson, 36, moved into one home with her three children soon after James closed on the house in August 2020, for which she paid $137,000.

Since then, cops have been summoned to the residence on 12 occasions, according to police records — including several instances in which they were called multiple times in a day.

Cops went out to the house for issuing warrants and subpoenas — as well as for incidents labeled vandalism, domestic issues and for suspicious persons.

Additional details about the nature of the calls were not immediately available.
