Anyone else feel like this?
« on: Today at 07:45:04 AM »
I feel like the world in general and America in particular is waking up to the lies of leftism. This moment has been decades in the making. Longer than I have been alive, in fact.

I feel like the necessary social reforms of the civil rights era were exploited to become a Grievance Industrial Complex. This happened for numerous reasons, depending on who was the actor in question. Some were true believers, but many wanted to weaken America in service to causes like socialism. For others it was a paycheck. Some found it as a means to power for its own sake. For many - far too many - it was a means of projecting moral superiority or to evade those who do. In Christian terms, they would be the proverbial Pharisees.

But now, nearly 70 years on, we've gone from necessary reforms to propping up a movement even though achieved its stated objectives to clinging to the donations and influence to seeking new enemies like witch hunters in Salem up to the culminating Inquisition of 2016 to 2025.

Now, the independents and unaffiliateds have seen just how far it has gone, and they have said it has gone too far. Not only did they swing to return a "convicted felon" to the White House, they are now witnessing how all the doomer prophesies ascribed to him have not come true.

USAID shut down without famine breaking out in the Third World. Iran was defanged without WW3 breaking out. Tariffs didn't collapse the economy. The Department of Education was shuttered and not a single child missed class. Boys can be kept out of girls locker rooms and no one has been stoned to death in the streets. New York City (perhaps regrettably) has not been swallowed by the rising tides brought on by global warming.

With the evidence of its failures mounting every day, the Left realizes its usual extortion of labeling people racist, fascist, science denier, etc no longer holds power. Now they have turned to literal extortion: street violence and assassination. Terrorism.

This is hardening the swing voters against them and costing them internal support. Soon, there won't be any moderate Democrats remaining because the hard Left will chase them out.

Meanwhile, here we stand as we have always stood. We have endured the slanders for decades. We watched as people allowed themselves to be bullied into accommodating the Left. We have been mocked, ridiculed, canceled, sued, fired, investigated, prosecuted, assaulted, and shot.

Make no mistake, I'm grateful that people are realizing we were right all along. I welcome them (back) into the fold with open arms and without reservation...

...but...

I feel I am entitled to feel just a little cranky to have to wait so long and to endure so much just to be vindicated. It didn't have to come to the brink of a second civil war in the greatest nation in history (a threat not yet passed). The newcomers, as welcomed as they are, have no idea what those of us who have always been here have had to deal with.

To them I say, "You're welcome."
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I fear it's too little, too late.  The foundations of the US in particular, culturally, ideologically, and politically have been pounded into dust.  There's a lot of this in other parts of the world as well.  While there are folks coming to their senses here and around the globe, my feelings are it's going to take a major reset to really get a significant portion of the country and world back on track.

But I'm a bit pessimistic about such things, kind of.  I really think the End Times are at the door, which will be a good thing for some of us.
Romans 6:17-18 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.

I think people are finally waking up and after they’ve seen all the violence and the hate towards Trump, the attempt to assassinations the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the violence in the streets against ice and the other agencies, trying to get the illegals out of the country and even the criminals off the street is making them sick.
I think even some of the so-called news outlets on the mainstream media are starting to swing more to the center, and getting rid of the fearmonger’s or the left-wing progressive and the ones spouting doom and gloom
Hopefully, I’m right not so much for me but for future generations, it makes me sad and sick to see how a handful of people can roll a country. That’s so many have fought and died for to make it a greatest country on earth. It’s really disgusting and I hope all those liberals and progressive die and rot in a special place in hell.
Life is tough and it’s even tougher when you’re stupid

Basking in the glow of my white Privilege and toxic masculinity while I water the Begonias with liberal tears!

I will give up my guns when the liberals give up their illegal aliens

We need a Bull Shit tax to make the Democrats go broke!
