There won’t be any spectacle of Trump trying to host the Dodgers for a photo op and a cheap, lousy meal of Quarter Pounders. We won’t be subjected to another one of his stupid, rambling “speeches.” He hates LA anyway.

I’ll get a lot of satisfaction of the Blue Jaya welcomed and paraded in Toronto as hometown heros. A real thumb in Trump’s eye.

DUmmies just can't let go of their absurd and disproven fantasy that Trump has a fragile ego. :loser: :loser: :loser: :loser: :loser:

I don’t care who won because I don’t follow baseball, and because my life doesn’t revolve around seeing some connection to politics in everything.

I mean, I found out about the Blue Jays winning because of the hockey forum I visit. The Maple Leafs were getting their asses kicked, so fans were talking about the Blue Jays in the game-day thread instead.

Did any DUmmie point out that Trump has worse (ProgSpeak for More Important) things on his mind than whether the Blue Jays or Dodgers win the World Series, and if the former, they accept or decline his invite to the WH.

Can't commit to the NHL quite yet because freaking baseball season is still going on, for at least one more game. Other than my alma mater, haven't even been paying close attention to football.

Anyway, I'm rooting for the Blue Jays because I don't have dog in this fight. There is nothing political about it. Some jag-off in lib-tard land said it would be hilarious if Canada won "because President Trump hates Canada and wants to annex it as the 51st state." In reality, it was nothing but #47 just trolling. There isn't a single Canadian born player on Toronto's team, their laundry is just representative of Toronto and not to the players' allegiances. Ditto with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers have several truly likeable players (Freeman, Betts, Kershaw), but they won the World Series just last year and have won it 8 times in their storied history dating back to their days in Brooklyn. The Jays won back-to-back in 1992 & 1993, and haven't sniffed the series since.

Baseball has been don't-care for me for 3 or 4 decades. I wouldn't mind Toronto winning, because I'm from Norcal and "we" don't like the Land of LA, :-) , but if LA wins it won't bother me.

Live and let live, my friend. Sports are an escape for myself and millions, or at least mostly an escape from reality. Even before sports leagues bent the proverbial knee to Saint George Floyd of Fentanyl in 2020, certain sports were getting WAY too politically leftist. It has subsided considerably, but there are still weird little eruptions of awful virtue signaling in a few instances.

I enjoyed football, until Kaep's league-supported racist tantrum. Nike's pander to Kaep is a reason I won't explore whether Nike has any shoe models with cushioning sufficient to avoid a plantar fasciitis flare-up (Hoka, Mizuno, and New Balance have suitable models). I never got into the NBA, so about the only sport I occasionally watch is volleyball. My main game-type relaxation is the Empire Builder series of board games (we have 11 games in the series, some fan-made).
