Trueblue Texan (3,935 posts)

Last night my former boss called me.

She told me she she had never paid much attention to politics but she was ready to get involved and I was the first one she thought of... I tried never to talk politics at work, but I guess I earned a reputation somehow. Anyway she told me the reason she finally woke up is that one of her friends had been kidnapped by ICE in a Houston suburb. She said they shut off the electricity to the house and when the family came out to investigate the cause, they wrestled the man to the ground and beat him up in front of his wife and kids and took him away. She said she couldn't sleep at all that night and that she realized it could have happened to anyone. She said she'd known this couple from church for more than 20 years and they were close friends and good people and didn't deserve to be treated that way.

It's a sad way for people to finally wake up like this, but it is happening. Will there be enough of us left when people wake up to realize things won't get better until we stand together and resist?

Reddit lefty refers to all ICE arrests as kidnappings. Using that as a Rosetta Stone: If it happened, dude was a violent felon who later physically resisted, and the story has since been embellished for dramatic effect.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I'm with you.

I'd bet the entire mortgage and a dollar for every post in the DUmp'Rat's post count this never happened. Employers who are happily rid of lazy, lying leftist scum rarely drop a dime to talk to them again outside of business contexts...

As absurd :bouncy: s go, this one is stupidly absurd.

As for the fictional boss having known the illegals for 20 years, GWB's, OhBummer's, Trump 1.0's, and LIEden's failure to find and deport them would not change the simple fact that if they actually existed they would be present in the US ILLEGALLY.

In real life, ICE or the Border Patrol would not waste time with an elaborate ruse with the sought-after illegals' reaction being uncertain. Nor would ICE agents waste time with any wrestlings or beatings not forced by the subject resisting arrest. Time wasted in those ways would be time in which Antifoids and/or Trump-Hating Progs could gather to riot.

How this fictional boss learned what supposedly happened is not rational. Would arrested illegals really call casual church acquaintances - one acquaintance of dozens or scores - instead of a lawyer or activist group? As Judge Judy has often said, "If it doesn't make sense, it didn't happen."

Exactly. If power goes off for one room in our house I go outside to our breaker panel, just me. If power goes off for our whole house, we check online via our phones with the power company for outages.

IRL, I think DUmmie Trueblue Texan plagiarized an activist group's fictional story by personalizing it ... albeit so unartfully that ordinary people here find it easy to spot the story's flaws.

I learned the important difference between two words: inartful means not sophisticated or refined; unartful means crudely done.

Quick DDG search for Houston ICE arrests cutting power did not come up with any such story, but it did come up with many child predators, gang members, murderers, and previously deported criminals getting pulled off the streets of Houston.

And in what world do former bosses call out of the blue to tell former employees they agree with their politics now?  The DUmp is a moonbat version of Penthouse Forum isn't it?

This fabricated story really needs a violin playing mournfully in the background. The TrueTurd Texan... I mean Trueblue Texan... really needed to begin this fairy tale with "So" or "Once upon a time".

Also, when the DUmmie made this story up, it should have also made up a local cop who's on the outs with the entire force because he's such a screwed up in the head leftist, and said Office OffHisRocker could have jumped out of the bushes next to the house trying to protect the made up "victims".

Oooo! On second thought, the made up cop should NOT be a "he" or "him", the pretend cop should be a he/she/it that's so screwed up in the head that it goes by the pronoun "they".

And to get at least a score of 5 on the bong scale, maybe have the neighbors, who've come out to see what is going on, all declare that the pretend "victims" should be left alone because they are a good family man family.

That's funny because last night Sidney Sweeney called me. She said she was ready to get involved with 50+ year old conservative hunk and I was the first hunky man she thought of.

Weird how these things come in groups of three because guess who called the next day? That's right, Kate Upton. She pretty much said the same thing. So anyway my next couple of weeks are booked up solid.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

You didn't check the caller ID. Sidney borrowed my phone to call you...  :-)

That is what I was wondering myself. I have never had a former employer call me for any reason. What motivation would they have? Former bosses have more things to worry about than what I think. Bad bouncy.

She called you because I had to turn her down. I need someone closer to my age and settled for Lynda Carter the original Wonder Woman.

i had a former boss call me and take me out to lunch. She and i got along well when I worked for her and she just wanted to see how I was doing.
