Liberalism: A Mental Illness

I remember reading something many years ago that put forth that the liberalism as practiced by the leftist (like the DUmbAsses at DU) is a mental illness.

Has a study every been done or a theory put forth as to why so many leftists (like the DUmbAsses at DU) feel the need to lie all of the time? Is it just part of their liberalism mental illness?

Granted, I can understand the leftist overlords like Pelosi and Schumer lying. Most the time, for them, I'd assume that it's to retain their power and money flow, but that doesn't explain the lying of their mindless minions like DUers.

Pride is a contributing factor. They're too proud to admit that they're wrong, so they lie, and even more frequently (if thats even possible) they pretend not to know things. But thats not all...

Another part of it, is lefty fragility. They're very fragile, and to have their world view exploded in their face in real time,  would be devastating to them. This is why they get nasty when their world view is challenged, and increasingly nastier the closer to being torn down it is. This, you can see in numerous interactions on college campuses with charlie kirk and crowder and folks like them.

They can't imagine being wrong about anything, let alone almost everything, and selfishly, the truth, reality, and fact become subordinate to the bubble of 'their reality' that they live in and defend...viciously if necessary. Trans types are the most obvious example, but this applies to most lefties, and is usually visible in some way or another.

The leaders need to lie otherwise nobody would wanna buy their shit sandwich and the followers are too stupid to listen to anyone other than their leaders so they follow along like lemmings and they think they’re doing the right thing

I agree with everything that you've said, but the fact that DUers are terrified to come on here AND are terrified for anyone with an opposing viewpoint to post on DU leads me to believe that, even though they are mindless lemmings blindly following the orders of their overlords, somewhere deep inside the DU loons know that they are completely wrong and support indefensible positions.
