As you know, I basically cut off associating with him last October, when I found out he was going to vote for RUMP.
I texted him the following message:
So how do you feel about Trump tearing down the East Wing of the White House to build his ballroom1.? With zero permission or accountability2.? And spending $260 million taxpayer dollars to do it3.? What if Obama had done that4.?
1. In real life, the new ballroom will belong to the government of the US, specifically the executive branch, not Donald Trump.
2. In real life, since donated private funds will be used, "permission" is not required, and "accountability" is irrelevant. Given Trump's decades of experience in large project management, the project will probably be better managed than regular government projects, vastly better than
OhBummer!'s still unfinished Presidential Library.
3. In real life, the project is being funded by donated private funds, not that the truth matters even slightly to
Coventina.
4. In real life, why would a conservative care,
IF donated private funds were used? Given
Coventina's age - sexagenarian or septuagenarian - her father night remember that the East Wing is not part of the White House - just connected to it by a stand-alone corridor - and that it was built in 1942 by FDR, not in the 18th or early 19th Century. The East Wing is just an office building with little heritage/history associated with it. Being about 75 years old, it may be dumpy and well frayed about the edges.
