The amazing thing about all these bouncies is the fact that they are set against the zeitgeist that Trump supporters are unhinged, deranged, forever potentially-violent cultists. If that element is not conveyed directly in the bouncy during its telling, it's at least assumed as background knowledge.
Thus, whenever these idiots say they confronted a Trump supporter, what they are implying is: "I confronted someone we all believe would pull out his gun and exercise his 2nd Amendment rights on me and doesn't that make me a brave crusader?"
On top of that, all of these tales of personal heroics involve breaking social convention. In precisely nowhere is it acceptable to confront random strangers over their politics. Nor are conservatives boisterous about their politics. That's what makes the red hat so distinctive.
What most likely happens is: A separate group is having a private conversation - albeit in public - which the DUmmy overhears. Something ordinarily innocuous is said, which the DUmmy then extrapolates out of all proportion, i.e.:
Original Statement: "I don't understand how they calculate property taxes because they assessed my house at $500,000 even though the real estate appraiser says it's only worth $300,000."
DUmmy Extrapolation: A half million dollar house is a big house. He lives in a McMansion because he exploits the working class. He doesn't want to pay his fair share of taxes because they support education. He needs to keep people ignorant so they watch Fox News and can be indoctrinated into Christian nationalism, which means he's a racist neo-Nazi ****.
From there, the bouncy is born. Not as a retelling of history, but as a supposition to feed to the herd.
