The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating social media posts by at least seven different accounts that appeared to indicate foreknowledge of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, according to three people familiar with the investigation and screenshots obtained by the Washington Free Beacon...."itd be funny if someone like charlie kirk got shot on september 10th LMAO," one X account posted on September 3.Another account posted on August 6--more than a month before the shooting--that "september 10th will be a very interesting day." After Kirk's assassination, the account followed up: "I plead the fifth."The morbid quip was reposted by an account named "churbum75m (SAW TYLER JUNE 30)," who appears to follow Robinson's roommate, Lance Twiggs, on TikTok, where Twiggs's username is "lanclotl."
Charlie Kirk assassination investigation widens to probe whether pro-trans, online groups knew in advanceThe feds have widened their investigation into the assassination of Charlie Kirk to probe whether pro-trans, online groups and others connected with Tyler Robinson knew in advance about the plan to kill the MAGA influencer, The Post has learned.Law enforcement sources said that investigators are examining leftist groups both in Utah and online to figure out if they helped him with the shooting -- or at least heard it was going to happen. The probe includes groups in online gaming community Steam, as well as a pro-trans organization called Armed Queers SLC, which took down their Instagram after Kirk was killed, the source confirmed....Taken together, they leave a trail of breadcrumbs for investigators who are trying to determine whether Robinson acted all on his own, or had accomplices.Utah group Armed Queens SLC, whose logo features two high-powered rifle rounds similar to the one that struck Kirk, hosted a lecture on "queer resistance" at the University of Utah in September, 2023 -- around 45 miles from Utah Valley University where the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder and Trump ally lost his life.
Because Kirk's schedule was publicly known, the specific reference in one message to the date he was killed is equivocal. It might have been foreknowledge, or it might have been, "I wish ...," fantasy.
Yeah, but I'll wager the investigators will be asking, "Of all those published dates, why did you cite that date in particular?"
The 22-year-old suspect in Charlie Kirk's killing appears to have confessed to friends in an online chat shortly before turning himself in to law enforcement, according to two people familiar with the chat and screenshots obtained by The Washington Post."Hey guys, I have bad news for you all," said a message from an account belonging to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, on the online platform Discord. "It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this."
