I have the day off from work. OTOH, for Mrs. and Daighters SVPete, its more complicated. Their company is one of those that have people doing their thing 24x7x52.

"Labor Day" is a nod to unions; what living and working through the 70s, 80s, and 90s taught me is that unions inciting anti-company hatred and manglers making bad/stupid decisions destroy companies and injure workers more or less equally.

They claim to be fighting to save democracy, depsite badly losing a democratic election, and losing on a host of issues as their party shrinks in popularity.
