ICE and Border Patrol have taken 5,000 criminal aliens off the streets of Los Angeles since June, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Tuesday.

The 5,000th arrest was of criminal alien Gustavo Garcia-Miranda, a convicted drug trafficker and aggravated felon who first came to the U.S. illegally in 2008, DHS’s press release said. Border Patrol arrested the Mexican national for illegal re-entry.

“Today, DHS law enforcement made its 5,000th arrest in Los Angeles," Noem said in a statement. "That’s 5,000 criminal illegal aliens, gang members, child predators, and murderers taken off our streets. Precious lives saved. Families protected. American taxpayers spared the cost of their crimes AND the burden of their benefits. THANK YOU to our brave law enforcement officers. Make no mistake: if you are here illegally, we will find you, arrest you, and send you back. This is just the beginning."

That’s 5,000 criminal illegal aliens, gang members, child predators, and murderers Mayor Karen Bass and many City Council members want roaming the streets of LA committing mayhem. That's Precious lives Karen Bass, et al, don't want saved and Families Karen Bass, et al, don't want protected!

Medical Workers Interfered With ICE, Now Face Federal Charges

In July, in Ontario, California, ICE agents pursued an illegal alien into a medical clinic. Several of the clinic workers challenged the ICE agents, interfering with their legal arrest of the illegal alien, and two of them allegedly assaulted the ICE agents.

Now a grand jury has returned indictments, and these medical workers are now counting the cost.

FBI: Minneapolis Shooting Was an Act of Anti-Catholic Domestic Terrorism

On Wednesday, Robert “Robin” Westman committed a mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Westman killed two students, ages 8 and 10. Seventeen others were also wounded, some critically, though all are expected to survive. It led to the discovery of two videos, one showing the manifesto being revealed, some of which was written in Cyrillic, and another showing the arsenal of weapons that were assembled for the assault.

“Kill Donald Trump” and other rantings were inscribed on the magazines. There were also a slew of antisemitic and anti-religious scribblings, too. Westman was unhinged. Still, the FBI says it’s now investigating this as an act of anti-Catholic domestic terrorism:

Just a few days ago, Minnesota Governor and failed contender for the vice presidency Tim Walz mocked Donald Trump’s violent crime crackdown. Then two mass shootings occurred this week in Minneapolis. Maybe we need the National Guard there too before more innocent children are killed by crazed leftists.

Walz, in his usual angry diatribe style, bellowed, “But what we have to be clear about is, don't take the bait. It boggles my damn mind that in the midst of a military takeover of our cities and the attempt to go into others, the flaunting of the rule of law, the cruelness and the unconstitutional nature of the way they're attacking our neighbors, that the press finds the need to talk about, oh, there's a division in the Democratic Party. There's a division in my damn house, and we're still married and things are good.”

The main point, however, is just how determined Walz is to ignore the violent crime crisis that is costing innocent lives. Addressing violent crime should not be a political or partisan issue. And yet it has become just that.

The two children who were killed at Annunciation Catholic School should still be alive. Shooter Robert “Robin” Westman had a track record over years of mental illness, particularly his conviction that he was transgender, but also his hatred for Jews, Christians, and Donald Trump. But our authorities refuse to take mental illness seriously anymore, and they even actively glorify transgenderism. Unsurprisingly, that leads to heartbreaking tragedies like the Catholic school shooting.

Walz and Frey didn't take crime seriously in 2020 - hoping it would hurt Trump - nor since, probably. Westman's years of mental illness were ignored ... like the female who killed students at Covenant Pres school ... like the Parkland high school shooter. But Trump's successful efforts against DC crime deserve mockery and denunciation?

A group of seven current and former staffers on Tuesday burst into Smith’s office, located in Redmond, Wash., and demanded the company end its support of Israel – following reports that its software was used by the military as part of its invasion of Gaza.

Want to see how the job market looks these days? Don't bother to check with the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Census Bureau, or any of the normal metrics measuring the American economy. Instead, watch how workplaces have begun to make clear that inmates don't run the asylums any longer.

The Wall Street Journal reports today that employers have had enough of activist workers, especially those who disrupt the workplace. They are laying down a "new, hard-line playbook" that bears a stunning resemblance to the normal hard-line playbook that existed before government subsidies made replacements scarce:

Microsoft fired two more staffers Thursday for engaging in on-site protests against the company’s work with the Israeli military. The move, following the firing of two employees who occupied an executive’s office this week, is the latest example of business leaders cracking down on political dissent.

Alphabet’s Google last year called in police, then fired dozens of workers who engaged in a similar protest. Tesla ousted an employee after he created an anti-Elon Musk website and plastered his Cybertruck with protest slogans. Some companies are restricting even nonpolitical debate, as JPMorgan Chase did after an influx of employee comments complaining about the bank’s return-to-office mandate this year.

TWSJ is mischaracterizing these actions. If I invaded the office of my CEO for any reason, I'd be deservedly canned. If I did political protests on company time or using other company resources, I'd be deservedly canned. If I lashed out publicly against my employer's products or services, I'd be deservedly canned. These companies are not "cracking down on political dissent", they are carrying out policies that companies have had in place approximately as long as the companies existed. In brief, the employees well earned FAFO.
