Epstein files tug-o-war
« on: August 01, 2025, 12:00:36 PM »
What is the over-under on the raw Epstein files containing false accusations against some people?

Not Trump, but other people who would have cause to sue the government if the accusations were published without discretion. We already know Virginia Giuffre falsely accused Alan Dershowitz.

If this were the case, it would be perfectly reasonable for Bondi to advise the President against indiscriminate publication. It would also explain why Trump shifted efforts to getting the grand jury testimonies released: Those claims were vetted more than raw accusations in anticipation of going to trial.

Far be it for me to suggest lefty leaps into action without fully considering the implications, but because of the sudden shift, lefty thinks they have their "GOTCHA!" moment. Trump must be hiding something that incriminates him. Right? Because of course Trump would make it a campaign issue if he knew he was guilty.

So, now the democrats are looking to leverage every procedural trick in the books to get those files published.

If the democrats succeed, who will suffer for legitimate accusations? Who will be liable for false accusations? Are the democrats invoking a case of "Careful what you wish for, because you just might get it"?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."
