What "economists" didn't (or refused to) see was that Trump's tariff threats were not for revenue - that is has worked that way for several months - but to get the various countries to come to the negotiating table to stop screwing US businesses AND work out something that benefits all parties.
IOW, EuroLand is not getting screwed, and EuroLand will be set free from Russian energy blackmail.
Those other countries are no different than our own welfare queens. No, they aren't getting screwed, but they percieve they are getting screwed because they are losing their free ride!
Take away all the welfare from those who don't need it in this country and you see them shouting all over TicToc, Instagram, Facebook, X ... I'm only on IG, but I see the reels from TicToc on IG and there are a bunch of videos of these freeloading welfare queens crying all over them. Some of them straight up admitting they were getting a free ride but for some reason think they should still be getting it.
