If they are filing taxes they are engaged in identity theft.

If they are working they should be using the guest worker program.

They are at courthouses for crimes separate from their unlawful presence.

Arrests are not kidnapping, you pathetic liars. And, yes, women and children can be here illegally, i.e. as criminals.

Immigration courts are court-tested due process.

They aren't going to be kept in camps forever, you dolt.

The deportations are a fraction of the cost of the status quo.

Not 1 of you pinheads - including the corrupt NY officials - can say what crime was being concealed that allows for charging 34 counts of concealing a crime.

I'm so old I remember when Dems killed FDR's Bracero Program - a guest worker program for seasonal labor - to cater to unions.

Illegals picked up at court houses are not there to get married by justices of the peace? Who knew?

Since Progs oppose arresting and detaining criminals in general ... unless their stuff was stolen ...

Well put. In a court of law (from watching a lot of old Perry Mason), the defense lawyer would immediately object because the conclusions put in evidence aren't statements of fact, but points of view. Incompetent, irrelevant, and immaterial.

The application of simple logic to this list of specious arguments reveals the truth about it; it is pure sophistry.

There are many reasons to enforce immigration law. Among those illegally residing in the U.S., some are criminals, some are not working, some are not paying taxes, and so on. The fact that one is arrested in a certain context does not somehow negate the given reason for all the others to whom that reason applies.

The economic argument at the end is particularly bad. There is a cost to enforce immigration law, yes, but the economic consequences of doing nothing are worse.
