After 2017 they separated children from their parents without a care of how to reunite them. Some of the detained children were too young to even know what was going on. Many thought their parents had abandoned them.

That is torture.

Now they're beating detainees. Some detainees are dying in custody.

This is torture.

Some are being deported to third countries not their own.

At the very least that is cruel and unusual

1. Is there an actual full-context news story about this from a semi-credible source? The DU OP, as is usual on DP, gives no link or context useful for a DDG or Bing or Google search.

Nosing around a bit, I found: a detainee died of suicide; a detainee died of HIV (initially incarcerated during LIEden MalAdministration); a Ukrainian detainee died of stroke.

Wrong.
That was going on LONG before 2017, LONG before Trump even announced he was running for president.
Those "Kids in cages" pics that everyone was all up in arms about were taken in 2014, when OBAMA was president!
Heck, that policy was in place even back during the Clinton Administration, as I recall!
Oh, and btw:
1. Would this DUmmy have wanted to "Reunite" those illegal immigrant kids with their illegal immigrant parents in jail? That's where the parents rightfully went, would this DUmmy have wanted the kids to join them there?
2. Kids in those centers under Trump were treated FAR more humanely than under Obama. Under Obama, they could be held there indefinitely; Under Trump, they could only legally be held there for a maximum of twenty days before being sent to a foster family, and during those twenty days, the staff there are frantically looking for any suitable relative the kids could be sent to stay with instead. Under Obama, there was no higher- up government accountability for the centers to ensure that the kids were being treated humanely; Under Trump, the centers are regularly supervised and inspected by qualified government representatives to ensure that the kids and teens there were being treated humanely.
