How it started:

On April 14, the UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies, together with Hillel -- a Jewish students' association -- hosted an event featuring Omer Shem Tov, a 23-year-old who was abducted by terrorists from the Nova music festival on Oct. 7, 2023, and held captive by Hamas for 505 days.
One week later, the Undergraduate Students Association Council released a statement condemning the event on the grounds that it "advance[d] incomplete and harmful representations of ongoing violence."

The student council did not condemn a government action. Or a political rally. Or a military campaign. It condemned an event featuring a young person, just like them, who had survived 505 days in the clutches of internationally recognized terrorists, only because the event did not also focus on Palestinian suffering.

How it's going:

A failed Palestinian suicide bomber released as part of an October 7 massacre hostage ransom spoke remotely to University of California, Berkeley students on Monday at an event held in one of the university's classrooms, according to social media posts by the organizing student groups.

Israa Jaabis, who was convicted of an attempted car bombing in Jerusalem in 2015, spoke by video call to students in Berkeley Law School classroom 170 during a Palestinian Political Prisoners Day event organized by Berkeley Law Students for Justice in Palestine and UC Berkeley Students for Justice in Palestine.

The video posted on Wednesday by UCB SJP, in which Jaabis addresses the students, shows a full classroom of students clapping for the failed terrorist.

Keeping up on events in Fulton County, GA where there are both civil and criminal proceedings concerning 2020. There's a lot of back and forth, but something that leapt out at me was a statement made by the County's Director of Registrations and Elections.

BLUF: The government seized the ballots counted in 2020. In an effort to play it off at the time as being no big deal, the Director said - and I quote - the government could "make paper airplanes" out of the ballots for all she cared.

Well, now the County is desperate to have those ballots returned, but the government quoted in the Director in its response motion. See the linked video at around the 7:10 mark:

Now look at what their own planning document says about Hegseth.

The "Democracy Playbook 2025" — the same document that teaches "dealing with security forces" and color revolution case studies — cites this in footnote 49:

REPORTER: Leader, I know you said you stand by your comments at the same time, you have been the subject of threats as well. So with respect to this comment about maximum warfare, even if it’s about redistricting, why not tone down the language here in this moment?

JEFFRIES: I think that’s what’s interesting to me, as you pointed out, is that the so-called White House press secretary, who’s a disgrace, she’s a stone cold liar, had the nerve to stand up there and read talking points being critical of statements all taken out of context that Democrats have made and didn’t have a word to say about anything that MAGA extremists have said or done, including providing aid and comfort to violent insurrectionists here at this Capitol on January 6, who brutally beat police officers. And so how can we take them seriously when they raise these partisan attacks and completely ignore the fact that a lot of folks, including Governor Shapiro, his home was attacked by an arsonist when he and his kids and wife were there and his so-called White House Press Secretary wants to lecture America and lecture us about civility. Get lost, clean up your own house before you have anything to say to us about the language that we use.

The "color revolution" targeting Trump and Hegseth.

If it were just that, we might shrug our shoulders and acknowledge that’s just life in Washington. But DataRepublican touched on something more chilling that might remind you of how you first felt when you realized that in 2020 the people in the shadows actually pulled it off — they actually installed a dementia-ridden shell of a man in the White House in the most opaque of ways — ways in which we could never before have imagined.

"Within 72 hours of his (Hegseth’s) nomination, a color revolution planning document cited him as an insider threat,” she wrote. “They didn't go after him because of drinking. They didn't go after him because of women. They went after him because every color revolution manual ever written says the same thing: you cannot topple a government unless the security forces defect. And a loyal Secretary of Defense is the one person who makes sure they don't."

The first receipt came in the form of a post that puts sunlight on the roles Harvard's Erica Chenoweth and Maria Stephan have played in conceiving and implementing color war strategies. According to DataRepublican, these are “the two most cited scholars in the color revolution field (who) studied 323 regime change campaigns.”

According to them, “security force defections make non-violent campaigns forty-six times more likely to succeed.” In other words, applying this to Trump, if you want to take him down, you need to start with the military. You need to create divisiveness in the ranks. You need to kill morale. You need to create an environment of competing loyalties. You need to instill dissension in a system that can only function without dissension.

As DataRepublican points out, Stephan is now chief organizer of something called the Horizons Project. To describe itself, its website uses some of the most Orwellian language you’ll find. If you want to understand what it really says you have to think in terms of opposites. Up is down, black is white, and authoritarianism is democracy.

Once you understand this, then you can adequately see where they are coming from when they describe the organization this way: “In times of increasing political violence and rising authoritarianism, diverse movements have come together to block harms and injustice, bridge divides, and build a more inclusive democracy.”

This is what incitement of violence sounds like. These are not insults or ridicule. These are incitements of violence.

This type of rhetoric is meant to make people believe that Trump and his supporters are a direct threat to them, their families, and the country.

Democrats create imaginary threats and then promise to save people from said threats. Look no further than the No Kings rallies. A bunch of people protesting a king that does not exist.

When a political party is constantly preaching to the country that the other side is out to hurt them and to hurt the most vulnerable people in society, it shouldn't be a surprise when some people attempt to end the threats that they actually believe exist.
