Oh my.

I haven't been paying attention to Skins's island much lately.

Does anybody know if another primitive had previously posted this?

a strange phenomenon is it psychological or logical? Teachers get paid once a month

for years it was always the last working day of every month

this year, our district changed it to the 20th every month

now it seems like my money goes farther? Am I spending less, maybe a little less on food but not specifically

is it because there is a few less days between checks?

this is just weird but cool at the same time

1. I went from getting paid bi-monthly to weekly. Thought I'd hate it but I really liked it. Seemed like I had more money -- not sure if it was psychological or not.

2. My sister's husband went from monthly to biweekly.

She rants and fumes about it. Says nothing comes out even anymore.

4. My favorite setup was when my partner and I were both paid once a month, a couple weeks apart. One check covered rent and all bills, the other was living expenses and fun.

I dunno.

It's all sort of like that very old joke about Daylight Savings Time; the Indian who cut off the end of his blanket and sewed it to the top of his blanket, so the blanket would be longer.
apres moi, le deluge

We can hope that she/he does not teach economics or finance.  :loser:

Wow, she must be using that "new math" in her classrooms.  If you are still getting paid once a month, then your first paycheck will arrive a little bit earlier than expected, but then she is going to have the same amount of time between paychecks from that point forward.

I really don't understand how their paydays seem to have such an effect on how they perceive their money  :mental:  They are still getting the same amount per month, they should just have to juggle their budget a bit to adjust for the new dates. I get paid bi-monthly, and it works well, but I can't imagine that getting paid weekly or monthly would make much of an impact on me.   :p (I don't like this smilie as much as other tongue smilies :( )
