So many posts on DU refer to the nameless "he", assuming we have imputed so much power and influence to tRump that it eclipses the other "he", President Joe Biden. Like I just read a three paragraph post with many sentences that turned out to be about tRump's trial but never named him or referred to him by a nickname. Just "he" and "him".

In olden days, writings that referred only to "he" or "him" were automatically about god, though often capitalized.

Let's not be in such awe of tRump's power and influence that we honour it by making posts that only refer to "he".

Plus, actually naming the Mango Mussolini or tRump or traitor Don when talking about his crimes and trials and campaign, or using one of his many common nicknames, will help bring up posts against him in search engines for the wobbly middle. Even though a DU post is not likely to be in the top ten offered by search engines, DU posts that name tRump when referring to things like trials and crimes and fascism contribute to the weights in the algorithms that tip search results more favourably to our causes.

When proofreading posts about "him" before pressing "Post", if you find that it is light on or absent his name, really consider the benefits of actually naming tRump.

For about 8 years now, almost every single thread in GD was about Trump.  Aren't you guys sick of it?

 :mental: I guess DU-member Bernardo de La Paz didn't learn in 2nd or 3rd grade that pronouns are used to avoid clumsily using proper names over and over and over and ... over in a discussion. Pronouns can be used so often while referring to multiple people that which "he" or "she" or "they" is being referred to can get confusing (e.g. in the Qur'an), but that isn't what the DUde is talking about. Now if DU-folk are using "he" in reference to Trump or LIEden without first using the person's name, that can be seen, as DU-member Bernardo de La Paz suggests, as an expression of awe. Conversely, it could be a dehumanizing avoidance of the person's name.

If DU-folk are using "he" without using Trump's name, their clear intent is dehumanizing avoidance of Trump's name.

Perhaps dems think if they mention Trump without naming him, they can undercut his publicity and exposure. I don't think that works against someone as famous and high-profile as Donald Trump. Obviously, the left's strategy is flawed, but since when did that matter to DU?
