The identity of the Nashville Covenant Christian school shooter has been revealed to be that of Audrey Hale, a biological female that identifies as a male.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said on Monday that the individual who fatally shot at least 3 students and 3 adults at The Covenant School was 28 years old and was believed to be a former student.

Police Chief John Drake said during an afternoon press conference that the identity was confirmed to be Audrey Hale, "a 28-year-old female that lived in the Nashville area."

Drake said that the investigation was ongoing, adding that Hale "does identify as transgender, yes."

Audrey Hale is The Covenant School killer that claimed 6 lives including 3 children. She identifies as a male.

The mother of the Nashville school shooter who killed six people – including three 9-year-olds – appeared to be a gun control activist who once urged friends on Facebook to sign a petition calling to keep firearms out of schools.

“So important!” Norma Hale wrote in a March 8, 2018 Facebook post as she shared the petition that stated “Keep Guns Out of School” that appeared to be from the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation.

The webpage’s domain to the petition did not appear to exist anymore.

In another post from Feb. 21, 2018, Hale shared another petition from Sandy Hook Promise urging lawmakers to “Make Large-Capacity Gun Magazines Illegal.”

She also gave birth to what became known as a "transgendered" adult ...

For which, I think,  she had to be very responsible in causing the poor child's  thinking about his self-worth and his body!

This story has been so confusing to follow because most reporting has been using different gender identities depending on the source. Not surprising, considering the Democrat party's theme song is Lola after all.

A LinkedIn account suggests Hale was an illustrator and graphic designer based in Nashville. The account says Hale was working for AH Illustrations and had previously been an illustrator at Nossi College of Art. It also mentions jobs with Grocery Shopper and as a cat sitter.

So she was 28, still lived with her parents, and despite claiming to have been an illustrator at Nossi College of Art and at AH Illustrations, I'm guessing that Grocery Shopper and cat sitter were the closest she had to steady jobs. So her life was a mess in addition to (or underlying) whatever motivated her to commit suicide by taking three 9YO children and three 60-something educators with her.

Couple of updates:

First, this post from Hot air embeds police bodycam footage from the officers who stopped the shooter, permanently, https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2023/03/28/breaking-body-cam-footage-of-nashville-shooter-take-down-released-n539987 . As the post writer points out, unlike in the Parkland and Uvalde school shootings, the officers acted swiftly and decisively, possibly saving lives.

Second and unrelated, there are comments from the PD that the shooter had considered another (unnamed) target, but chose Covenant school because unlike the unnamed location, Covenant did not have security. Whether conscious choice or clue-free non action, Covenant's choice may have had fatal consequences.

Covenant Presbyterian Nashville's website is down (I checked yesterday and this AM). They are a member of the Presbyterian Church in America, which has some congregations that are fairly conservative theologically, and some that are quite liberal theologically. Where this Covenant Pres is in that spectrum I have not learned.

A sense of “resentment” might have played a role in a 28-year-old’s deadly attack on the private Christian school they once attended, Nashville police said Monday.

The shooter, Nashville resident Audrey Hale, had no previous criminal record before opening fire at The Covenant School, killing three children and three adults, authorities said.

“There’s some belief that there was some resentment for having to go to that school,” Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake told Lester Holt of NBC News.

One report, somewhat new, stated that Hale had written a friend on Instagram saying, "Something bad is going to happen....I just want to die."

Lots of stuff out there. If Hale was taking testosterone, for example, there is clinical evidence that taking it can result in violent tendencies (ya think?). I think the critter was mentally ill.

Watched the takedown video. She was shooting at cops out of a 2nd floor large glassed-in area. Cops approached her from behind and put her down. Fourteen minutes is all it took.

I wonder if the morons in Uvalde are paying attention....

Latest FBI Release of Covenant School Manifesto Files Appears to Confirm Trans-Identified Killer Bought Guns with Pell Grant Money

This latest journal appears to have been written sometime in late 2021, and includes lengthy sections about the weapons the killer planned to use to commit a mass shooting at a school sometime that year.

Following multiple pages full of weapons to purchase, the journal includes a page labeled “Account Savings Record,” which appears to reference the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It also records multiple payments received from Nossi during the period when Hale attended the Nossi College of Art and Design in Nashville.

“FASFA [sic] grant checks started at $2,050.86,” wrote Hale at the top of the entry.

The page then lists a series of apparent ledger entries, starting with, “$2,656.87 (x3 checks from Nossi).” The next ledger entry states, “+$530.00 (x1 check Nossi) ($3,186.87).”

This reference to Hale’s federal student aid, located in the writings next to her entries about guns she considered buying, appears to corroborate the claims made by her parents to Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) detectives in 2023, when they told law enforcement their child purchased the firearms using federal Pell Grant money.

The FBI on Monday released new writings by Covenant School killer Audrey Hale, who identified as a transgender man when she killed six on March 27, 2023, revealing the killer listed hatred for religion as reason to attack the Christian elementary school she once attended.

Hale included the motivator in a list of “advantages” and “disadvantages” the killer titled, “The Covenant School – Alternate Target / 2nd Choice,” which also noted her past history at the school, her knowledge of its layout, but also listed that it was a “bigger school,” and a “private school,” as well as a “school/church,” which meant “more revenue real estate.”

The killer wrote as her last item in the list of reasons to select Covenant as her target, “Christian school (hate religion).”

Her functional definition of a "hate religion" was that Christianity does not affirm her "emerging views on sexuality and gender identity" and "real gender identity".
