A pardon question for lawyers

There has been talk that Trump may have granted so-called pocket pardons to his family, associates and possibly even himself. Here's a simple question that I haven't heard answered.

If the pardons are secret and are being held until an indictment, how do we know that Trump signed them as president and not sometime after he left office?

If the pardons are sent to the DOJ or the National Archives, they would be publicly available under the FOIA, wouldn't they?

Thanks, in advance, to anyone who can clear this up for me.

The DUmp is  the wrong place to look for lawyers. If you want to learn how to get on the disability grave train you have come to the right place.

There may well be lawyers there, but I''m not sure I would give their opinions much weight.

To paraphrase Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), I would sooner trust gas station sushi than anyone who claims to be a lawyer posting at the DUmp.

The same goes for medical, financial, relationship, or any other advice for that matter.

That's a very good question, but first lets circle back and discuss the word secret, it means that it's secret and can't be told, as far as pardons go when you pass wind in an elevator you should say pardon me but if it smells really bad you should just keep it a secret.

I hope that answers your question.

Jailhouse lawyers, the DUmp has many.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I think they're closer to homeless camp lawyers.

Or that kid at a kegger who lectures cops on why they can't break up a party.

I believe all pardons are recorded to become public a record to make them official. No such thing as a secret pardon.
