Omg. I awakened this morning thinking of

an old MAD magazine parody from my youth:

Give me your tired, your poor
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free
The wretched refuse from your teeming shore

And I’ll send ‘em right back
Send ‘em right back to you!
Your huddled masses
Your wretched refuse!
I’ll send them right back to you!

I think it was a Goldwater parody or maybe Agnew. Hair Furor or his deputy dog Miller must have internalized it a long time ago.

Your point is what?

Omg. I awakened this morning thinking of.... getting a reach around.

Addition to reflect reality.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

That's really stupid.

Why would that be a Goldwater or an Agnew parody?

As Chris or whatever his name is knows, the world was much different back then.

I myself when growing up don't recall that either Goldwater or Agnew had anything to say about immigration, pro or con; it just wasn't a big deal.

The problem starts in the first line.  The primitive says it was thinking. Everybody knows that's not true.
