I was in a casino in Iowa last night.

 
I was at a Blackjack table with 5 other players. The talk was about the servicemen and women. The dealer said that her son was a Marine and he has been in since Obama was President. Some guy at the other end of the table said that Obama was terrible man and that he never served his country in the military. She said that her son thought that Obama was a great man was an honorable president. The guy said that it wasn't right for Obama be president without being in the military anyway. Than dealer asked the guy if he was a Trumper? He said yes he was. She said to him "you know that both Trump or VP Pence never served in the military"? The guy said that he did not care, Trump knew what he was doing? At that point, another man setting at the table said that he was republican, served in the Iraq War and under Obama's command. He said Obama was a good man and a good president. He went on to say, Trump was selling out the country and told the guy, "if you can't see that, you are a fool"! The guy got mad, cashed out and left the table. We all laughed and keep playing.


I don't have time to bring over any comments.  The DUmmies are all eating it up!  LOL

The lie on which the story is hinged. Real life Trump supporters know he didn't serve in the military, and did months before they voted for him.

As an aside, I think the most recent R President who did not serve in the military or National Guard was Herbert Hoover, who IIRC was a Quaker.

Kind of risky thing to do.

I don't spend a lot of time in casinos, but I've never heard idle chitchat about controversial topics between players.

Yes.....one of my poker friends WILL NOT VOTE FOR tRump AGAIN.

our 30+ year poker club of women disbanded last December, but we do get together for lunch every couple of months and today was one of our get togethers. Once three of our partners had left, I asked the last women that was with me who she voted for....(we have never talked politics all these years) she said tRump....I voted for tRump. I say Anne how could you??? She said, “I just could not vote for Hillary and I did vote for tRump, BUT I WON’T VOTE FOR HIM EVER AGAIN”. I just smiled hugged her and we left the establishment. So yes....some tRumpers know the damage they did while voting him for him. So happy she learned her lesson.

Yes, this DUmmie made up a stupid story, but it at least attempted to be creative in the location. I just wish that if these DUmmies were planning to create stories like this that they would find and attend a local free creative writing workshop. It would probably do wonders for the entertainment factor of their make believe stories.

I've sat at a lot of 21 tables and never once was there much talking among the players and never any thing but concerning the game spoke by the dealer.  I have never heard any talk about politics.

This story is a complete fabrication and a poor one at that.
