Star Member malaise (188,279 posts)https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212019271Good Effin' GriefThe COn touts a press conference at 9.30am tomorrow - meanwhile Congress receives the Report after 11.00am This is absolutely criminal. ITTMF!! What the **** is wrong with Barr and the Con - if the report exonerates him, why all this deceit. .Come Nancy - stop this ****ing crucifixion of the Constitution and rule of law.
Star Member malaise (188,279 posts) 4. Peter Carr says that no one from the Mueller Investigationwill be at the press conference. These folks normally remain silent. This shit is going to blow up and soon! Media should boycott the press conference
Chin music (953 posts) 5. Always the Ds that have to be the 'Ghandis' of American politics.SO sick of it. SOOO SO sick of it. The gop looks like a banana republic dictatorship, but, somehow we still have to come to the table in top hat and tails, and willing to compromise. We will always lose doing this. I'm not saying we need revenge, but, when we deal w a group that LOVEs to see "liberal tears', (code for, "we can do now wrong bc if the other side is mad and crying...we won".) and we keep coming to the table like a lamb to slaughter, we'll be slaughtered. Over and over. It's almost 1/4 of the way through this congress...and Mueller's report hasn't been seen, and there's no end in sight to the obfuscation. FIGHT BACK CONGRESS. Stop being appalled, and channel the anger into sticking your foot up someones ass and breaking it off, for us, and for every American, who got us here today. Pretend you're Ted Kennedy.

Star Member PatrickforO (7,851 posts) 25. **** 'em. We need to roll over them.Best roll over them now before it actually comes to need to roll in the tanks. Because if we don't stop the descent into the fiery hell of fascism, it WILL come to that. And if it does, those who are unlucky enough to survive need to relentlessly, ruthlessly hunt down the billionaires, and thy them for their parasitical destruction of this world's civilizations. Yeah, I know what we've got is imperfect, but we have two choices - we can try to reform it and achieve social and economic justice, or we could tear it down brick by brick. Problem is, if you want to tear it down, what will you put up in its place?

Enter Judge WaltonThis is going to be fun - FOIA https://www.politico.com/story/2019/04/16/judge-barr-mistrust-mueller-1278030 <snip> ‘The attorney general has created an environment that has caused a significant part of the public … to be concerned,’ a district court judge said. By JOSH GERSTEIN 04/16/2019 04:29 PM EDT Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Attorney General William Barr has created public distrust about whether the Justice Department is committed to sharing as much as possible about the Russia probe's findings, a federal judge said on Tuesday. “The attorney general has created an environment that has caused a significant part of the public … to be concerned about whether or not there is full transparency,” U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton said during a hearing Tuesday afternoon on a Freedom of Information Act suit demanding access to a report detailing the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller. Walton, an appointee of President George W. Bush, did not elaborate on what actions or statements by the attorney general have generated those perceptions. Democrats and other critics have faulted Barr for adding his own conclusions favorable to President Donald Trump into a letter sent to Congress last month summarizing the top-line findings of the report. In addition, Barr has warned that he plans to make redactions to the report on grounds such as privacy and grand jury secrecy, prompting more complaints.
