2011: OH Mother Convicted Of Felony For Lying To Get Kids Into Better School

Ohio mother of two Kelley Williams-Bolar was released from jail on Wednesday after serving nine days for falsifying records so that her two daughters could attend a better school.

Williams-Bolar was convicted by a jury of using her father’s address to claim residency status that would allow her children to attend a higher-performing suburban school.

While her sentence was light in terms of jail time, Williams-Bolar was put on probation for two years and ordered to complete 80 hours of community service. The conviction may threaten her ability to get the teaching license she was working on.

I'm thinking that the current wealthy lawbreakers will anywhere hear as harsh a sentence, "light" as it was.

Obviously this refers to the most recent scandal and while it has received twelve recommendations it has only two replies along with a couple post count building Kicks.

2. Society failed her.

It was not like she was trying to give already priviledged kids another leg up, she was trying to get her under priviledged kids a fighting chance. The fact that resources were not provided to the school they are in is shameful.

DUmmies can always fail to see the forest for the trees.  School choice bad.  Fraud good. (but only if you are poor and black apparently).

THIS IS WHY WE LAUGH AT DUMMIES.  They really just don't get it.  Liberty and Justice for ALL.  Unless of course you are Hillary Clinton or Chelsa or a Made Democratic person of color.

Should one a man of wisdom meet
who points out faults and gives reproof,
who lays a hidden treasure bare,
with such a sage should one consort.
Consorting so is one enriched
and never in decline.

Agree, this never needed to happen if the mother had access to a school voucher.
