Mayonnaise Spreads the Truth

Well, it is not really a lie if you believe it to be true.  George Costanza

1. I love Warren's proposed "wealth tax".

It lept her over most of the others who have thrown their hats in the ring so far, IMO. It's early days and all the players aren't announced yet so I'm not on any bandwagon at this time, but look forward to the primaries and debates to learn more about those who are running. Warren is one of the front-runners by virtue of this policy, IMO.

10. Didn't Obama extend the Bush tax cuts in 2010 with a democratic

House and senate?

Would you like thick or regular crust?

15. That was a two-year extension.

We were just beginning to pull out of the Great Recession, and the Bush tax cut extension was passed as part of a broader stimulus package as a compromise with Republicans (we did not have a filibuster-proof Senate majority at the time). Then in 2012, the cuts were made permanent for all but the top tax bracket.

12. Good graphic.

Remember: NOWHERE in the New Testament does it promote comforting the already comfortable. NOWHERE does it quote Jesus as praising the rich or promising them the keys to Heaven. Quite the opposite, actually.
Eye or the camel or something like that.  Bless their heart.

3. I can't understand why it isn't 99%????

Do the other 23% think they are part of the rich too?

5. I remember reading during the Bush era
there was a survey that found over 18% of Americans thought they were in the top 1% of income earners. That's part of the reason, I would assume.

11. To read comments at various other sites about it,

a lot of people say things like, "they earned the money, so they should have a right to keep it."

Also-- "not only are there federal income taxes, but also state tax, local tax, school tax, sales tax, gas tax," and on and on...
Those poor rich people having to pay taxes...

Yup, it's my money and I want it now!!  Oh wait, that's if they are applying for welfare or disability.

7. Wall Street is committing suicide

People see their pay checks stagnating in the face of record profits. We have a very competitive labor market but wages aren't rising. People are waking up to how they are getting screwed and want to turn the tables on big business and the elites.

The funniest part is that if businesses bumped raises by a couple percent, we wouldn't see near as much of a socialist awakening right now.

I can hardly wait for the donations from Wall Street to pour in to the DNC coffers (or should that be poor coughers he says chocking back a laugh ?? )

8. True

And tomorrow night the vile MAGAcretin will stand up and tell America about his great economy while regular folks are just discovering that his entire tax break exercise was one of the biggest cons in history.

14. My best friend is a tax accountant, he calls himself "IRS Firefighter", ...

He told me this weekend, that the taxes he's done so far, people are
super mad, because their usual $1,500 tax rebate is now $3,000 tax bill.

There is a school of thought that says people will demand reform once they realize they are actually paying money not receiving it at tax time.  Hum, could this actually happen?

9. Good news and about time. If you need to raise revenue, you can only get ti from people with

money. Enough of the BS about taking more from the poor.

A person living in a high tax state who will not be able to deduct them from their federal taxes any longer?

To be blunt, Hitler and Tojo stopped the US' Great Depression. The US was still as mired in the Depression in 1938 as it was in 1932 when FDR was elected. Around that time was when FDR and others recognized where things could head, and started rebuilding the US military, and with the PH attack and massive build-up, the Great Depression was ended.

At least FDR and the D-controlled Congress recognized and responded to the threat. Modern Ds would be kowtowing and placating, making Chamberlain look moderate in his accommodation of Hitler.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
