At what point in a shutdown do people start talking coup?

I want a constitutional resolution of this shutdown in the worst way, but if the shutdown goes on long enough, thousands of government workers will face evictions, foreclosures, repossessions, prosecutions, and yes, hunger. If Trump and McConnell are seen to be agents of a foreign power intentionally damaging America, aren’t people are going to start asking, “why not?”

9. There won't be a coup. There won't even be a strike by

unpaid workers. We don't do those things here any longer.

15. As your post shows, someone will talk about it. But no one will actually do it.

hard work, but it just doesn't happen.

33. "Trump is about to declare martial law", "Trump is about to start a nuclear war"

"When do people start talking coup"

These threads appear here almost daily and it's absurd.

.

That's BS. Your people organized a beautiful boycott and protest against Chik-Fil-A that virtually brought them to their knees. You also ran George W Bush out of office in just 8 short years. And the economy is still reeling from that not one damn dime day thing that y'all did.

“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

The moral of this partial government shutdown is that the general public doesn't notice.  While I do feel a bit sorry for those temporarily furloughed, they will get paid.  And non essential government employees are the correct term applied to them, makes me think why in the hell are they there if they are non essential workers?

That’s a good question. I believe that many don’t understand what they mean when they say essential and non essential. I’ll use the place I work, MCAS Cherry Point. Essential personnel are the ones required to secure the base, perform emergency services. You don’t need the HR people in during a natural disaster, while essential to daily operations, they’re not essential during emergency closures.  The same applies to the shutdown now.

A coup? You people have trouble organizing a road trip to the next Comicon. Fighting over who's driving and how much the rooms cost and all that and you clowns want to take over. Please let us know when the revolutions starts.

Something that doesn't occur to the DUmmies is what happened 10 years ago.  While tons of people were losing their jobs over the meltdown, obozo was adding a whole hell of a lot of federal employees at the Washington DC level.  That geographic area was golden, and insulated, while other people were absolutely destitute.  These jobs went to well connected cronies, not normal people.  Then the reports started coming in about them watching porn at work on our dimes.  Nothing happened to them.  Deep resentments built up.  Not a lot of crocodile tears for these guys.  I don't see anyone marching in the streets, let alone trying to pull off a coup.  We're trying to make ends meet.
