US pledges $10.6B aid for Central America, southern Mexico
« on: December 18, 2018, 03:42:21 PM »

They get our money, we get their people. :censored:

Quote
The United States pledged $5.8 billion in aid Tuesday for strengthening government and economic development in Central America, and another $4.8 billion in development aid for southern Mexico.

The U.S aid aims to promote better security conditions and job opportunities as part of a regional plan to allow Central Americans and Mexicans to remain in their countries and not have to emigrate.

The plan was announced in a joint U.S.-Mexican statement released by the State Department and read aloud by Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard in the Mexican capital.

“In sum I think this is good news, very good news for Mexico,” Ebrard said.

I just don't understand this shit.

Do they call this "good will?" Is there something we need from Central America and Mexico? Where's the quid pro quo?

Better security and job opportunities? In a third world hellhole? AYFKM???

I call that a black hole into which we pour money.

Where's the accountability? The deliverables? What do we get out of this arrangement besides some kind of Utopian bullshit "vision" that some f'n State Department hack thought was nifty and noble?

The full amount should have gone towards building the wall.  That way President Trump could say that mexico did pay for the wall.
Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.
