Its my understanding Qanon is connected to the whole 4 Chan dark web internet hacking stuff.  With a healthy dose of tinfoil CT lunacy added in just for fun.

They are definitely NOT Conservative and folks that would fit right in at DU.

From what I've seen of it, yeah, except maybe not so much Dark Web...4chan, Discordian, CT is pretty much how I'd characterize it.  More Discordian/Dystopian than Left or Right, wants to appeal to Libertarians but there is some suspicion that non-US agents of chaos may be involved in the whole thing.
