"I can't speak for all active duty and veterans. However, I think a parade, regardless of whose idea it is, is a stupendous waste of money. The money could be better spent on training, maintenance, veteran's health care, or a myriad of other priorities. This is the USA, not North Korea or the Soviet Union having a May Day parade. We should 'speak softly, and carry a big stick.' A big parade is not speaking softly."

Then when someone questioned him -- "Isn't parade kind of carrying a big stick?" he said:

"Not really. We have the big stick. No reason to flaunt it."

Might not seem to be a big deal but it really is. This guy is retired military, die hard Republican, maybe a little racist, hated Obama, and usually posts pro-Trump Fox News nonsense. He's got my sister doing the same thing which breaks my heart.

Just for a little bit he came to his senses and posted an anti-Trump opinion.

It gives me hope.

Not wanting to spend $$$ on a parade ≠ anti-Trump.

No DUmmies, we are able to disagree on some things and still support our (and your) president. Only your side has the hive mind purge reflex that makes you cast out anyone who disagrees with the current left-wing group think.
