DU Jr., both pro and con, discuss primitives they've liked

Actually, there's a lot of primitives I've liked, and tried to get them to like me too, but the primitives confuse "liking them" with "kissing their asses," which ain't gonna happen.

DUers you've actually liked

Over the years some of them have revealed themselves to not be batshit insane.

Former9thWard does quixotic his best to rein in the lunatics

gejohnson is a gun and history expert to not be trifled with

OneEyedFatMan left many years ago and has been sorely missed. I think he passed.

NuclearUnicorn was quite the feisty little thing. I think she jumped to JPR after The Great Purge of 2016

Krispo42 is the even handed host of the Gungeon who puts the grabbers to shame with his knowledge, ethics and patience

Any DUers you like?

7. Not many but before the place turned into a total loony bin

Dreamer Tatum, not sure if still active but was living in the real world.

Buzz Clik, not really from the DUmp or CU/CC but as I got to know him here and hope all is well with him.

For sheer entertainment TominTiburon, Random Thoughts, RBtexLA and MrsCorpio with their idiocy.

Old Lefty Lawyer/Tangerine La Bamba...paid a visit to CC before her passing away and was a really decent person.

Yeah, the buzzy one added about all the cerebrality the left side of DU Jr. ever had, with whatever the rampart character bravely tries to contribute.

Wish he was still around.

17. All of the following...

https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=inmemoriam

Once they arrived on this list, they automatically understood their place and kept their mouths shut. The rest of the DUers should follow their lead asap.

In case one's not aware, the link's to the morgue on Skins's island, and it's alas underpopulated.

34. Omaha Steve has been trying to make my favorites list for 2 years.

I have tried to come up with some names that I could say I "liked" over the years.

There was some male from Houston who came over to CU years ago (2006?), but I can't remember his exact DU user name. Something like TxLib or something along those lines. He was married to another DUer named KCdem (funny I remember her name precisely and not his), but he was pretty cool. Think he was a Physics prof at some university. Unfortunately, he and his wife divorced, which I'm never glad to hear about with anyone. We went at it when he first arrived, but then over time started conversing about other things and formed a good on-line friendship. Still disagreed, but we would hear each other out. In fact, I'd kinda wonder how everything is going with him now.

On occasion, pintobean will call the kooks back to earth, or at least his version of earth. It's not earth, but it sometimes bumps up against it briefly. If he would come back to the real earth and stay he'd be much better off.

DFW is a quack.

45. I love Skinner for....

The way he used capitalism to fleece those ignorant, socialist bastards.

DU was making close to $800 a day in ad revenue at one time. I called DU the "Skinner Revenue Stream".

I loved the "fund raisers".

Those idiots donated like it was a charity. They got a big gold star beside their name for donation.

Skinner would announce the 10% was being donated to charity (just enough to offset taxes)...and those idiots would eat it up.

56. If anyone says Malaise, Im alerting.

For the record, my honest sentiments are for my fellow alum Skins and the always-rational-but-little-heeded brooklynite primitive.

Liberalguy/Lumberjack is a class of stupid all by himself.
He thinks that by signing on to the UN charter it gives any edict by them supremacy over the Constitution.

That he is a fat,old white guy from the 60s is no surprise.

You know, I'd expected he'd be about 20 years younger and look more, uh, rabbinical, more scholarly.

According to his Facebook page, he graduated HS in 1980, making him around 55-56 years old.

I'm truly disappointed, because I had a great deal of admiration and respect for him, based upon what I thought he was like.

I thought he was about maybe forty, wore a yarmulke and had a solemn Talmudic air about him, someone whom I could really respect.

To learn he's less than what I thought he was, it's a letdown.

Some months back, BuzzClit got his ass handed to him by a guy named Cesare.  It was an hilarious thread.  He slinked off to never return.

The Buzztard did that here some time ago. The thread that got him, can't remember the long and the short of it now,  had something to do with his "schooling" us on our lack of compassion for some dummie that had fallen on hard times.  Several here pointed out that his ass did not donate either and until he did he could just STFU.

Never saw him here after that.   :lmao:

Personally I thought him a pompous ass.   I have the same opinion of most of the dummies.
Living in the Dummies minds rent free since 2009!

The Buzztard did that here some time ago. The thread that got him, can't remember the long and the short of it now,  had something to do with his "schooling" us on our lack of compassion for some dummie that had fallen on hard times.

It involved the now-late Las Vegas Leviathan's wife, who after his death had resumed the same sort of behaviors that had brought her so much trouble and futility in the recent past.

Decent and civilized people, who cared about her, cautioned her against making the same mistake; she badly needed to get some sense of self-worth, of self-respect.

The buzzy one, as most primitives are wont to do, equate "caring about someone" with unconditionally approving whatever and all ever it is that they do.

I was honestly surprised that people here got castigated for being caring and concerned, and that it was the buzzy one who'd damned us for it.   The buzzy one was a cut far above the average primitive, with more cerebrality than all but two of the "100,000+" others.

I have no idea why he was suddenly so retarded, but have since suspected the buzzy one was merely looking around for a reason, any reason, to not have to like us.

Ooops, I found out that the current liberalguy isn't the one we remember so fondly, the rabbi from days of yore.

A totally different person.

And so I wasted all my respect and admiration on the wrong primitive.

Oh well.  It happens.
