Not One More Dime: NFL Stadiums Have Collected Over $1.1 Billion in Federal Subsidies – Time to Cut Them Off

Varney reminded the FOX and Friends hosts that NFL stadiums have collected over $1 billion in federal subsidies.

Stuart Varney: There’s $1.1 billion in direct subsidies from taxpayers to the NFL… Taxpayer subsidies go to the building of stadiums. There have been 20 new NFL stadiums since 1997. All of them have received a degree of taxpayer subsidies.

According to FOX Sports over the last 20 years, the American public has spent more than $7 billion dollars to build or renovate NFL stadiums, taking on 46 percent of the total costs of those projects.

It’s time to cut them off.

They don’t respect the country. Why should the country respect them?

FLASHBLACK: The Federal Government Had to Pay the NFL to be Patriotic

A 2015 congressional report from Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) revealed that the Defense Department had paid $6.8 million to professional sports teams, including the NFL, for patriotic displays:

Among the paid events the report flags as questionable were on-field color guard presentations during the national anthem, enlistment and reenlistment ceremonies, the unfurling of a giant flag by members of the military, and ceremonial first pitches.

While many teams held such tributes for the military free of charge, 50 pro teams received money for them, according to the report.

Among the paid teams, the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots were the most taxpayer-funded teams.

As players and teams protest the national anthem, Americans should remember that the price of patriotism for the NFL reaches into the millions of dollars.

Those people are a special kind of stupid.

As for the subsidies, they need to be cut, the league makes billions, let them support themselves.
Life is tough and it’s even tougher when you’re stupid

Basking in the glow of my white Privilege, while I water the Begonias with liberal tears!

I will give up my guns when the liberals give up their illegal aliens

We need a Bull Shit tax to make the Democrats go broke!

====================

Actors and athletes are mostly highly paid morons.

Taxpayers at federal and local levels subsidize sports arenas and teams to the tune of tens of millions every year.

Newt said, "If you are a multi-millionaire and feel persecuted, you need a therapist.

When Dallas wanted to honor the five policemen killed in their city, the NFL refused.

TN Titans’ Delanie Walker Tells Fans to Stay Home if They Don’t Like Protests: “OK, Bye”

Apparently Tennessee Titans tight end, Delanie Walker, doesn’t know where his bread is buttered.

He straight up told his fans to stay home if they don’t like the players protesting the National Anthem.

Delanie Walker told the Tennessean:

“And the fans that don’t want to come to the game? I mean, OK. Bye. I mean, if you feel that’s something, we’re disrespecting you, don’t come to the game. You don’t have to. No one’s telling you to come to the game. It’s your freedom of choice to do that.”

Other teams are panicking and releasing statements to the public reassuring fans that they will be standing for the anthem moving forward, however; the Titans are doubling down. Other players smugly expressed they didn’t care if fans were angered by their kneeling and that they plan on kneeling on Sunday.

According to Fox News, Walker is in the middle of a 2-year $13.3 million contract with the Nashville-based team. He claims the protests are not an attack on Veterans or the military.

Equal rights? Then why don’t you equally distribute your multi-million dollar contract to the poor people in the U.S.?

Every time I look out on an NFL game field now, I see Antifa activists in football uniforms being paid millions of dollars a year to hate the USA.

Minnesota Airport Takes Stand Against Anthem Protests – Does Not Want To Accept ‘Super Bowl’ Flights

More fallout from the whole ‘kneel gate’ situation in the NFL. A regional airport commission in Minnesota is looking to pass a resolution to bar flights into the area for Super Bowl LII. All because the NFL is allowing their players to kneel during the National Anthem. Last week, Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport Commission spoke out against the NFL’s National Anthem protests. They loudly hinted that they just might turn away overflow air traffic for the Super Bowl which is scheduled to be held in Minneapolis in February. Good for them. Country over sports wins every time in my book.

The small airport is in Crow Wing County. They could definitely see overflow traffic or diverted traffic because of everyone flying in to see the game. Especially, weather-related delays. Commission member Jeff Czeczok was the one who introduced the resolution condemning the NFL for its protests and resolved that the Brainerd Lakes Airport would not accept the Super Bowl flights unless the NFL were to stop the protests. He also reminded the board of Brainerd’s history with the notorious Bataan Death March of World War II and those American soldiers who passed away while serving their country.
