I found DU early on.
The year after the war GW's invasion of iraq. It gave me a place to vent and be understood. Something that was hard to come by in northeast texas when you are liberal.
Later in 2007, when my son died by suicide, again I found online friends & unexpected support I still enjoy today.
Now in the trump era, I find confort in being around people who recognize the,dangers we all face & make me not feel so alone.
Even with all the warts DU is the place I come.
I appreciate this place & you people.
