"Catmusicfan" needs to call the Lib equivalent of Dr. Laura. Unfortunately, that person would affirm "Catmusicfan"'s whininess, rather than trying to get her to change.
BTW, her husband being required to turn off his phone and leave it in his car probably means he works for a defense contractor that does a substantial amount of work on classified projects. Defense products are usually produced in batches, with a contract issued for each batch. There can be lulls between the shipping the last ______ of a batch and the awarding of a new contract. And that new contract often means a jump from doing busy-work to putting in OT
With my previous employer, until they built a restricted access room for the secret projects, I had to leave my cell phone in my car. I usually turned it on immediately on returning to my car, because I had a 23+ mile commute and wanted to check traffic. I doubt her hubby worries about traffic at 11PM or 12AM.
All that said, IF she has asked her hubby to call when he leaves, without being pouty-clingy-whiny, he really should call her.
