Saying this will not make me any friends, but I have a different take on what the next 4 years will look like, and I suspect it will be the comeback of the commies.
Trump won by just typical to small margins from an overall perspective. Of course, some states were more than blow-outs. My state went Trump @ something like 69 or 70%.
But one thing remains: The next elections won't have a cold war commie splitting up the dimocrat vote... and I think we are grossly underestimating how much that had to do with Trumps victory, and all those house and senate seats that rode in on straight ticket votes.
Even if the mid-terms in 2018 are a republican disaster, due to the rotation, we don't stand to lose it ALL, just a few, but even that can really throw a wrench in the current congressional control status.
Don't underestimate the power of all this propaganda either.
Half of Americans are flat out stupid. They are either buying into all this crap in the media, or it's confusing the hell out of them... either way, it will affect their voting. The left knows this too... that's why they are doing it. They've always relied on the lower half of the intellect to stay in power, and they always will.
The future doesn't look all peaches and cream to me... and I know I'll get a lot of static for saying it, but I really do feel like thats the reality of it.
And I believe it will have an effect on local elections as well... people see red v/s blue, and nothing else in a LOT of cases.
